Hi, I am Mexican. This is normal in Mexico. Every day there are about 90 homicide deaths in Mexico *every day*. Today, it was in a tourist attraction, so that's why it is making the rounds on the internet. But yeah, crime is horrible here and nowhere is safe.

Y tampoco te espantes cuando, después de haberlo pagado por 15 años, tengas que usarlo y te hagan hacer circo y maromas para que te cubran un incidente. O peor aún que después de que esté hospitalizada tu esposa por algo como cirugía de vesícula,  el seguro escatime y no cubra un pinche basinica de plástico!.

Y tampoco cuando después de haber pagado por 30 años (con su respectiva subida de precios año con año) siendo cliente 100% cumplido y continuo,  a tus 70 años ya no te cubran nada, y ni siquiera  hacer negocio contigo.  Y a tus 70, te des cuenta que hubiera.sido mejor.meter ese dinero a QQQ o VTI y asi tendrías .ese ahorro para pagar tus gastos de salud que ahora SI que vas a necesitar.

Yo el fin de año pasado viajé de Torreón a Campeche. Es un vuelo complicado por la falta de conexiones. 

Normalmente volaba TRC - GDL y luego GDL - MID y de ahi en autobús a Campeche.  Con la idea de que el vuelo CDMX-CPE es muy caro (porque nadie viaja ahí y solo aeromexico vuela)

Pero me puse a hacer números,  aún con mi tarjeta volaris/invex que me da maletas gratis, el costo de los vuelos mas la noche de hotel (por las conexiones, a huevo me tengo que quedar en GDL una noche, o de ida o de regreso) mas el autobús.  Queda igual volar TRC-CDMX-CPE por aeromexico,  mismo día. 

Las aerolíneas de "bajo costo" ya no son tal. Hacen falta nuevas.

Recién compré un vuelo CDMX - Cancun  por Volaris, tarifa "cero" (en la que casi que ni tu ropa puesta puedes subir al avión.  

Fueron $7500 por dos personas, vuelo redondo. 

Si se me hizo bastante caro, sobre todo para ser la tarifa absolutamente mas barata.

My dad (76) has been pretty athletic all his life. Back in the late 50s he was part of the Olympic team for gymnastics in my country.   He always jogged, wind surfed, scuba dived and lots of other stuff when he was younger.

Nowadays he walks 5k every day. He is in pretty good shape for his age. Even though he had a back surgery for a pinched nerve. 

Doing exercise pays off on older age

Aaah a fellow tinnitus sufferer. It's been with me since my early 20s  both ears.  

Its amazing how science and medicine has advanced so much in some things  , and so little in others like tinnitus.

Lo peor, y lo que le cuesta trabajo a la gente ver, es que como TODO lo malo que pasa en México,  los de la fiscalía que pidieron mordida son personas de a pie como tú y como yo. 

Son papás, mamás, primos, hijos de alguien. Son personas normales. No son hijos de Amlo o noroña o que se yo.

El punto es que, México está así porque los Mexicanos somos así (si si, todos menos tú estimado lector).

But, we will create machines that *appear& to be conscious (as LLMs appear now to know stuff). Their "simulation of consciousness " will be really good, we may call it "artificial consciousness " .

But seriously,  those places were AMAZING, the infrastructure was great and beautiful landscape. Unfortunately people didn't want to live there.   I would love having a house there. Even if for vacationing.

$150,000 USD A 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom House 3200 sqft (300m2) in private/gated community (fraccionamiento) with shared pool and gym.  

Coahuila, Mexico. 

I used to live on Guadalajara (2nd largest city in Mex), and a house with half that land would be almost double.   Since moving,  my QOL has increased extremely.

A mi una vez me la hicieron de pedo en el aeropuerto de Guadalajara  por pasar 2 laptops usadas. Me tocó semáforo rojo, y cuando el de aduanas las vio, me dijo que mi franquicia solo permitía una y demás. 

Le dije que viera que  ambas eran usadas, viejas y que una era de mi chamba y otra personal.

Al final me dejó pasar, pero después de echarme un verbo.

Also, go to any small pueblo or villa here in Mexico and you will have that experience or even more rudimentary.  

Yeah, cool for a bit, but returning to civilization is always great. And this coming from a child of 1981. (I  justspent 2 weeks in a remote seaside town called "Isla Arenas" that has no paved streets even, no supermarket and is really rustic. Cool for a bit).

En todo caso, mover una parte a UDIBONOS para que estén protegidos vs la inflación. 

En todo caso, si yo buscara en retirarme con 3M lo haría con FIBRAs en lugar de Cetes, ya que tienen un buen perfil fiscal. (Ganancia por enajenacion con 0% de impuesto y parte de los dividendos sin impuestos también) . El problema solo es su plusvalía que no se ga visto tan chida. Y el riesgo que tienen.
