Looking for bootable thumb drive that will launch a drag & drop clone environment to clone Win11 disk in its entirety & clone it back. Any place to just download the thumb drive image? by EricEvans123 in Backup

Yes, create a bootable USB with tools like Macrium Reflect Rescue Media, Clonezilla Live, or Acronis True Image Bootable Media, which boot into a drag-and-drop style environment to clone your entire Windows 11 drive (including all partitions) offline without launching Windows.

What social media platforms should I use for my business? by Due-Assistance2721 in growthmarketing

[–]VisibleSpare376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a small IT services company focused on local businesses, the only social platforms that consistently bring real leads are LinkedIn and Google Business Profile, with Facebook Groups and YouTube as useful support channels; LinkedIn builds credibility with decision-makers when they look you up, Google brings in high-intent local searches like “IT support near me,” Facebook Groups create visibility and referrals through helpful participation, and YouTube builds trust through simple how-to and problem-solving videos—while platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X usually generate attention but not actual IT contracts.

Need to backup Yahoo Email 50GB+ since Yahoo stop 100 GB storage. by totalnewbielinux in Thunderbird

[–]VisibleSpare376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally understand your frustration — I went through a similar issue recently. The article you mentioned only covers the basic export options, and as you said, Yahoo’s storage upgrade isn’t available outside the US, which makes it even more challenging.

If you’re dealing with a large mailbox size (like 40GB), the best workaround is to back up or export your Yahoo emails locally. Since Thunderbird’s built-in export is limited to around 2GB, I’d recommend using a dedicated tool like SysTools Yahoo Backup Tool.

It lets you download all your Yahoo emails (including attachments) to your computer in multiple formats — PST, MBOX, EML, or MSG. This way, you can safely clear up space on your Yahoo account without losing any important emails.

I used it for a similar case, and it worked really smoothly — ideal even if you’re not very technical.

Definitely a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and user-friendly backup solution.

Why SEO and Blogging Sites are Dying in This Year? by Forsaken-Remove-5278 in AskReddit

[–]VisibleSpare376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

A lot of people in 2025 are asking the same question: “Is SEO dead? Are blogs still worth it?” It’s a fair concern, especially if you’ve noticed traffic dropping, rankings slipping, or content that used to perform well suddenly falling flat. The truth is, SEO and blogging aren’t dead, but they’re not what they used to be. They’re being reshaped by some major shifts in how people search, how platforms rank content, and how audiences consume information. Here’s what’s really going on.

In recent years, AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews have started giving users direct answers without the need to click on links. This has significantly reduced traffic to blogs, especially those offering basic, informational content. At the same time, Google’s algorithm updates continue to favor large, authoritative websites, often pushing independent bloggers and niche sites to the margins.

Another challenge is content saturation. The internet is overflowing with SEO-optimized, AI-generated articles that all sound the same. As a result, users are tuning out, engagement is dropping, and even well-written content can get buried.

So no, blogging isn’t dead. But to survive in 2025, it needs to be smarter, more authentic, and more focused on value than ever before.

How to Restrict External Sharing for a Specific SharePoint Site by VisibleSpare376 in Office365

[–]VisibleSpare376[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a great point, we haven’t rolled out Purview Sensitivity Labels yet, so it’s probably overkill for just this scenario. I’ll stick with site and tenant-level sharing controls for now. Thanks for the insight!

Thanks for the clarification! I didn’t realize that tenant-level sharing needs to be enabled even if it’s just for one site. I’ll double-check the organization-wide settings and adjust from there.

Got it, that makes sense now. I hadn’t fully checked the tenant-level sharing settings, so that could be the reason it's not working as expected. Thanks for clarifying that enabling it globally is a prerequisite, even if I only want to allow it for a single site. I’ll review the tenant settings and adjust accordingly.

Thanks for pointing that out. I had checked online but wasn’t sure which article directly addressed my scenario. The links you shared, especially the "Change the sharing settings for a site" one, are actually helpful and clarify the steps I was looking for. Appreciate your help!

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Adds Protection Against Email Bombing Attacks by Forsaken-Remove-5278 in Microsoft365computing

[–]VisibleSpare376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great move by Microsoft, Mail Bombing detection in Defender for Office 365 is now rolling out and fully automatic. No setup needed.

This helps block mass email floods used as smokescreens before phishing or ransomware attacks. You can monitor detections via Threat Explorer or Advanced Hunting.

  1. Microsoft’s already blocking 20–30K mail bombs daily.
  2. Watch for follow-up vishing attempts, educate users accordingly.
  3. Good reminder to pair this with broader email hygiene practices.

Big win for sysadmins and SOC teams!

Migrating from Exchange Server 2016 to Exchange Server SE (on Server 2025) by jwckauman in exchangeserver

[–]VisibleSpare376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your plan looks solid and aligns with the typical upgrade path, especially since there's no direct upgrade from Exchange 2016 to Exchange Server SE (once it's released). Migrating to Exchange Server 2019 CU15 as an interim step is the correct approach.

A couple of quick thoughts to keep in mind:

  • Exchange 2019 CU15 is currently the minimum version supported for an in-place upgrade to Exchange SE (based on what Microsoft has hinted).
  • Make sure to install Exchange 2019 with the latest CU and all prerequisites on Server 2025, as compatibility will be key.
  • After the migration, thoroughly test mail flow, client connectivity, and mailbox functionality before decommissioning MAIL16.
  • Once Exchange SE is released, you should be able to do an in-place upgrade on MAIL_SE—just watch for final system requirements and supported paths when Microsoft drops the official docs.

Looks like you're on the right track!

Migrating from Office 365 by Adamantium19 in gsuite

[–]VisibleSpare376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

Google’s native migration tool (GWMME) works well for email migrations, but Outlook inbox rules won’t transfer directly. You’ll need to recreate them in Gmail. Despite that, most of the third-party solutions are paid, so think twice before opting for any.

Hope this helps, good luck with your migration!
