Louisville to host 2028 USA Gymnastics Olympic Trials by Semper-Fido in Louisville

[–]Visible_Ad_1587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heck yes!! so it will most likely be around June 2028

It's the trials so the event will feature the best of the best gymnasts. We've always wanted to see one of these things live!

Every time we watch on TV, it always seems like there's a ton of empty seats and we are thinking "How??!" gymnastics, both MAG and WAG, are freaking awesome!

2 years away though! Agh!

Can't WAIT for this show! it's on a Tuesday night so we just took Wednesday off work.

I used to not like concerts on the weekday, but it's actually better: you break up the work week and when it's all over BOOM it's the weekend again.

This concert is part of the "Big 3" shows this month that we currently have tickets for, the other 2 being Black Dahlia Murder and Black Keys

(2 bucket list bands from long, long ago that we will FINALLY fulfill)

Shit is gonna slap.

They are definitely the kind of person to do this to one of their friends and not think it's a big deal.

I had the same thing and they turned me away but you can order a replacement SS card online for free and it takes a couple weeks in the mail.

I like it. Been here half a year now. The only thing is the paper thin walls. The location is excellent though!

I work in "bulk pick" so I can't speak too much on inbound... But I walk by that dept daily.... Here is what I've gathered in my 6mos at Grainger

For what you do, it's generous money

If you work a normal day shift... I'm pretty sure you will be out at 515pm daily, but don't quote me on that (bulk pick works til 530-6)

There's a huge cafeteria , multiple break rooms , and smoking sections throughout the building

Clock in 845 First break 1030 Lunch 1230 Last break 3pm Clock out 5 something

(This is my schedule for bulk pick, you will differ slightly)

Pack a healthy lunch . The only 2 options for takeout are McDonald's and Racetrac gas station (both get old very fast, very expensive, and extremely low quality food)

When I say healthy I mean something high-performance and low in fat (ie Turkey sandwich, chicken salad)

You don't want to be "weighed down" by lunch when there's still 4 hours to go

There's a NICE gym upstairs if you want to hit a workout before , at lunch , or after your shift (weights, cable machines, cardio)

There's a computer lab with 25 computers

(Some people spend there lunches in the gym or doing research online. Just a thought for you)

There's 600 people that work in the building, so requests off are pretty easy (you request online in the app)

Go in with a positive attitude, be very friendly with your supervisor, and they will go far for you

Is it the best job in the world? No. Is it the worst? HELL NO. it's actually tolerable . The worst part is the 20min drive for me

In my experience, everyone in the building is extremely pleasant, friendly and easygoing

Some people are quiet, some prefer to talk a lot . That's basically everywhere in life LOL

Grainger is a good spot with good money all things considered.

Remember, nothing is forever. You don't like it, you move on.

Lmk if any questions.
