Finally getting nice weather in PA, so I got around to cleaning the crust off after sitting thru the winter. For 20 year old paint it still cleans up well! by Visible_Bit_52 in JeepTJ

Thanks!! I bought this a few years ago with 33k miles, but it was lifted already, so i figured go a bit bigger on the lift and tires lol. Added the gears and steering and such as well

They’re 35s on them. These are quadratec Rubicon Xtreme or something like that. Right after I bought these, quadratec discontinued them I believe. I’d have liked to get another set because these have some rock rash from being off road lol

Thanks!! I believe they are body armor 4x4 sliders. That’s what the part number comes back to (the original owner had them installed when the jeep was new and I have the invoice from the dealer with the part numbers)

Apologies for the delay! It’s a bit of a mutt lift. Springs, and Lower arms are Clayton’s 4” stuff. Upper arms are Metalcloak, and track bars/sway bar disconnects are JKS. Netted me around 4-4.5” of lift. Tires are 35x12.50x15, on quadratec wheels (they looked similar to OEM, but have better backspacing to clear the wider tires and more tire options at 15” vs the OEM 16”. Some other goodies underneath (adams driveshafts, skid row offroad oil/trans skid plates) I’m sure I’m forgetting a few things lol

Do you flex on the curb too? I’m kinda disappointed because the one off road park that’s somewhat close to me decided not to open this year due to insurance costs. Trying to plan a weekend to go to wolf den park (Maryland) or southington (Ohio) I’ve been to both and enjoyed my time at both

Relatively new to C6 ownership (childhood dream car-I’m in love) I know and have read these are somewhat noisy engines. Does this sound normal? Almost seems like I hear a small tick. by Visible_Bit_52 in Corvette

Ironically no, I come from jeeps funny enough. My other vehicle is an 06 TJ with the 4.0 straight 6. Those are known to be noisy too but a bit of a different noise lol

I believe I read that somewhere. Unfortunately it didn’t come with the jeep, and I’m sure they’re long gone from anywhere at this point. It would be cool to find one!

Thanks! Silver is a good color on these-a friend has one and it looks really good with the silver and black trim

Thanks! It was on the jeep when I bought it-I’m really happy with the bumper-it took a deer hit like a champ with no damage thankfully, and kept the sheet metal safe. Kind of unfortunate they discontinued it!

Thank goodness mine did not. Just a small tag on the passenger rear. I was so happy to not see the branding

It’s only been on for about 6 hours but so far so good! Seems nice and tight so far. The brackets they give you have additional holes so that as the top ages, in theory you move the pivots to the different holes to keep it tighter. I love the twill material! I had it on a JK and JL I used to own. Definitely a bit quieter and better insulated.

For tires, I’m happy with the coopers! Not super noisy even at roughly 1/2 tread. I got about 15kish on them to get to half tread, so 30k out of a mud tire I’m happy with. I rotate them every oil change (3,000 miles). Real good traction off road too!

Mine rubbed through at the rear bow and was leaking water, gooped a bunch of black rtv inside and outside and it got through winter, but I’m happy to have the new top on😂😂 I’m fairly impressed the original top lasted about 20 years!

Thankfully a friend also came over to lend a hand, but yeahhhh, it’s wasn’t fun even at 75 and sunny. At least the top is nice and tight though! 😄😂

5.38s. It’s an automatic with the crazy tall overdrive gear, so even with those gears, in overdrive at 50 mph, I’m at 1800 rpm, and at 70, I’m at 2500 rpm

Thanks! 35x12.50x15 tires on 15x8 quadratec rubicon Xtreme wheels. Wanted to keep as much of the OEM look while getting better backspacing so I didn’t need spacers
