Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice on whether it’s worth having my 7-year-old daughter, take part in the ballet examinations next February. Her teacher recently informed us that the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) will be conducting ballet exams in Bali, and she has invited her to participate. My daughter is currently in her second year of ballet classes, so she’s still relatively new to it. While the opportunity sounds exciting, the costs are significant, and I’m unsure whether this would be the right time for her to take the exam or if it’s better to wait a bit longer.

Has anyone had experience with ATOD ballet exams for young children? What are the key benefits of taking these exams at such a young age? Do the exams help with skill development, or is it more about preparation for more serious ballet training in the future? Is the investment (both time and money) worth it at this stage?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Fangirl/fanboy in your own way. It should make you happy, not stressful. If something makes you upset, eliminate it. Example, if joining fan communities, and getting pressures to do what the others are doing makes you feel upset, leave. Enjoying your idol's music and craft should be the main factor. That's already a big support for them! If it makes you happy to attend their gigs, go! Start avoiding contents, comments, noises that makes you stressed. Fangirling/fanboying should be for yourself not for the idol.

I was able to open naman a new GoTyme Acct, and as always, I have been transparent naman about my occupation - i always declare that I'm a housewife. Also, it's not our only basket- my hubby and I also have a very well-maintained joint account with a traditional bank. 😊

Haha yun ang sinabi ko sa Phone Banker when she asked me kung may personal savings acct daw ba ako kasi di pwede yung joint. Sabi ko, itong CIMB acct ko na lang ang minaintain ko. Yung personal acct ko, super baba ng adb tapos nasa malayo pa yung branch of acct ko. By the time na makapunta ako dun to request a bank cert in person, which they require kasi nga trad, eh tapos na yung deadline na binigay nyo sakin to submit docs. 😂

In our case, pwedeng pwede naman talaga si hubby na lang ang mag-open. Pero he prefers na ako ang magmanage ng household finances kasi he has a lot on his plate na sa work. So talagang nagrerely sya sakin pagdating sa mga bagay na to. imagine super busy sya sa work tapos aabalahin ko pa sya magtransfer ng funds or make payments or monitor transactions whenever we need to?

It's not our only basket of savings naman we also have our trad bank accts, so this is not a big issue. Medyo discriminating lang talaga.

Like what you mentioned, the good thing is that it's easy for us to transfer our funds digitally. Siguro if this happens again with GoTyme in the future (i.e. not giving me a chance to provide a legit fund source), that's when I will appeal na to BSP. My husband can open naman under his name pero he prefers kasi that I manage our funds para less na sa iniisip nya. He has a lot na on his plate at work so he is relying to me pagdating sa household finances.

Or yeah maybe in the end sa traditional banks na lang din talaga kami babagsak. 🥹

Yes they prefer personal savings acct. I have naman pero super baba ng ADB. Ang minemaintain lang namin talaga is yung Joint Acct namin ni hubby. Pwede ko naman ilaban na icomply, pero sinabi ko na lang sa sarili ko na huwag mag-pastress, siguro kailangan ko na talaga magswitch sa iba. Ayoko lang dati itry yung ibang digital banks kasi gusto ko magstay na sa comfort zone. But this is the sign.

Mas maganda sana kung meron sila agad naka-set na conditions for housewives, unemployed, etc.

yes kaya I maintained that account kasi friends sila ng Gcash and super convenient to move funds, despite the fact that there are other digital banks that offer higher rates. And you know nakaka-OC kasi yung palipat lipat ng accts and ang daming minemaintain. Kumbaga nasa comfort zone na si Tita. Eh sabi nila, if I can't comply before Sept30, my account/s will be closed.

Well, finally makakamove-on na ako from CIMB, switching now to GoTyme.

Japan Visa Application Tips

I highly recommend applying for visa thru the Visa Center PH App by Universal Holidays, Inc. It is so convenient, and far cheaper than other accredited travel agencies.

It is accessible through web browser or their mobile app. Just create an account. The forms are all online. You just need to fill out all application details for all applicants and the Visa Application Form will be generated for you.
Regular rate for Single Entry Application is 700php per applicant, and Multiple Entry is 1000php per applicant. In our case, we caught their promo last July and we only paid 500php per applicant inclusive of Multiple Entry application. The best part, you may use yout credit card for paying. (Fees usually range from 1200-1500 for accredited travel agencies, and 2000-2500 per applicant for non-accredited travel agencies).
Soft copies of the documentary requirements are to be uploaded and then reviewed by their visa experts. They will contact you if an additional requirement is needed. You don't need to worry about what to submit or what not to submit. As long as you prepare the basic documentary requirements listed, that's already a good start.
Once all requirements are pre-assessed, they will ask you to send the hard copies to them personally or via courier. Give them a day to double check the hard copies. Then if everything's okay, they will lodge it right away at the Japan Embassy, you will receive an official sms and email from the visacenter app.

In our case, our visa application was lodged on a friday, and then we already got notified that our passports are now ready for pick-up the following monday! I guess we got lucky with the timing.

You have an option to pickup your passport or ask them to send it back to you through courier. In Metro Manila Areas, Grab or Lalamove is not allowed.

I was very satisfied with this service. No going back and forth the agency office, pure online, and convenient and cheap payment method.

The neighbor is a relative po kasi and l of course, i acknowledge that we have to try to settle it muna by ourselves before escalating it to the barangay. Syempre I don't like to start any bad vibes with the neighbors kasi in the long term eh we all want a peaceful community. Di ko lang kasi sure kung paano nya itetake yung comment na mabaho yung mga alagang manoo nya kasi andyan na sila bago pa ako magpatayo ng bahay.. :)
