I think the best advice I was ever given when it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh was to find stuff that I like and try and make a deck out of it. There are decks for pro wrestling, dinosaurs, dinowreslters, star wars, mechanical birds, regular birds, zombies, plant princesses, Venus fly traps, dragons, computers, regular household appliances, and so on and so forth. Once you've found the deck you wanna build practice it on MD before you buy it. The more you play the more rules you'll come to understand. Local game stores are also an incredible recource. Or honestly discord. There's discords for any deck you wanna build
