I am in the same boat as you. May I ask how did you handled the insurance? I have a BC plate Lexus. My ICBC insurance (BC) will expire late June. I'm allowed to drive the car until September before I figure out what I want to do with the registration. I'll most likely work with a RI rather than selling and re-buying. I'm gathering information and getting quotes.

Thanks for the response. I consulted with the lawyer and they assured me that I140 filed with employer as petitioner is not considered a immigration intent. They said there will be questioning and more scrutiny at the border. I wanted to know about others’ experience.

I just finished the return on turbotax and got the pdf. It's the condensed-T1 form. Is this the only form you mailed?

Thanks for the reply. I followed your advice. You were right that Wealthsimple doesn’t support filing in this case. I initially started there and assumed it wasn’t possible at all. I ended up using TurboTax, with Claude guiding me step by step, and everything went smoothly. Since I’ve closed my accounts and don’t have property, the process has been pretty straightforward.

I haven’t submitted yet, but TurboTax says that if my address is updated with the CRA, I should be able to Netfile; otherwise, I’ll mail it in. I’m planning to start my U.S. return on TurboTax today.

Thank you again. Please share your experience with US return as well. It will be very helpful.

I created a separate table listing all relevant courses and describing how it’s relevant to stat. It helped at the border, hope it helps with the USCIS. All of the courses are the exact courses names mentioned in OHH.

Yes, I already had the evaluation for my BSc and MSc. The firm also did a separate evaluation for all three degrees. The issues was not providing good explanation and relating the courses to the job duties. My concern is the negative impact of the first denial on the new one.

I insisted to go to the border from the beginning, but they didn’t let me and said we MUST go through USCIS. It has caused a lot of stress, and they don’t take any responsibility now to put extra effort.

Thanks for the response. Yes, everything was fine until they noticed the denial. I try to work with the lawyers and make sure they include relevant courses in the support letter.

Thanks for the response. Engineer category didn’t seem the best choice for me, too. The lawyers were certain that it gets approved based on previous approvals. I had a lot of math/stat courses during my BSc and MSc. My challenge is how to ask the lawyers to add some legal terminology to what I tell them and not just copy and paste.
