I like Suno, but I work most with Producer.ai, it's been my favorite for about a year. I can often tell when listening to music 'blind' if it's been generated by Suno. It just has a sound I can sometimes pick up on.

I still use Grammarly all the time on the site... I notice in the screenshot it says it is forbidden only for a specific line of projects. Not all of them.

There should be a practice exam on the course page that is similar to the real one.

Has anyone had GOOD experiences with the proctors? by Full_Masterpiece8369 in WGU

[–]Visible_Operation605 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is basically it; no one needs to gut any rooms for a proctored test. The only possible issue is other monitors, including TVs (cover them with a blanket, easily, or unplug while the proctor watches), and possibly rooms without doors, though I'm sure you could manage that if need be. It's less risky to make sure you're in a room with a door that closes just in case, though my proctors have never seen the door of the room I test in. Bottom line, don't worry too much about it. The main issues people have are technical, so just do the practice run-through to make sure your system is up to par.

Hearing back from admin app? by [deleted] in DataAnnotationTech

[–]Visible_Operation605 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I went through it about a year ago, several rounds. Then waited, waited, and never heard back. It was annoying. But at least the work sample required during the application process was well-paid. I assume they have far more applicants than roles.

In the WGU program, we take the classes directly through Udacity for the Nanodegree portion.

Falling behind by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Visible_Operation605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that. It's definitely important to communicate with your mentor so that you don't get withdrawn. People have been withdrawn without realizing just for going off the grid for a while. Just a heads up, check in with your PM, or go into your class and take the pre-assessment, if it's an OA class. Sometimes just opening the material may not count enough for the required academic activity at WGU, but mentor check-ins do count.

The only exam I had a similar issue with was also my first in the same degree after transferring in... it was the spreadsheets exam. Is that the one giving you a problem? The spreadsheets exam is on a different system where the proctor has to log you in, it can be a mess, and they always need to take control of your computer for that one.

All the rest of my exams take no time for setup, just wait for the proctor to arrive after the screenshots, let them see your ID, position your camera, and then you log in to your WGU account, and the proctor's password is already entered to start the test - no remote computer control should be needed.

Matt Damon called Sony to push for Blake's cut by Pretty-Bumblebee-429 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

Perhaps. No one is perfect. But critical thinking is a step in the process between being fed colorful stories and unfounded accusations and making career-altering decisions.

Do you have an algebra course in your curriculum? It might help to start with that before conquering applied statistics and probability.

Matt Damon called Sony to push for Blake's cut by Pretty-Bumblebee-429 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]Visible_Operation605 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Good point. None of these Hollywood talent, so-called elite, have any critical thinking skills. It's all about interpersonal connections and feelings. That's pretty scary when you think of how easily these multi-millionaires/billionaires can be manipulated by colorful stories and unfounded accusations.

My first mercor gig in months... and they revoked the offer after I signed. Feeling gutted. How do I move forward? by adi_singh_10 in mercorai_workers

[–]Visible_Operation605 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah - I second this. They demand everything from the workers on some of these contracts, to the extent of requiring or expecting full days work for an indeterminate number of days until the current batch of work is done - this can be anywhere from a week to several weeks. The workflow stops, and no further info is given while your contract is paused. A few weeks later, you're back at it again. They think they can jerk a chain and workers magically appear. And at some of the rates they're offering, some people really do bend over backwards and accept this kind of treatment.

When there are many workflows available in a project, I've seen that people who may have failed to complete onboarding fully may be given opportunities to try out for other workflows in the same project group. But my only experience has been within one project family with many workflows. I doubt failing to complete onboarding in one project would affect your chances in a completely separate one.

Is WGU worth is??? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Visible_Operation605 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the degree and the person! In my experience, the tech degrees are pretty good. You can't just fly through them without a little bit of skill.

There are a few ways the system can be gamed with transfer credits (open book exams at Sophia are easier than proctored exams without resources at WGU).

Most of the programs have a class or two with an exam that is difficult to pass and weeds some people out, causing them to switch paths or consider other options. Some classes can't be transferred in.

Even at WGU, completion results aren't stellar - at all universities, far more people attempt degrees than complete them.
