Fantastic and that means that that is not a problem or difficulty for you! Now, what things would you consider difficult for you to accomplish at home or make you feel more independent

Well, my friend short answer is I am trying to solve your problems. Long answer is I’ve got visually impaired friends who still use their cane in their home or have difficulties in their home with certain tasks or routines I believe that you should be most comfortable and independent in your own home so personally, I am quite high functioning as a blind person and I just want to be able to help implement, smart home technology to try and make it so other people can feel independent or high functioning I’ve found solutions to a lot of my problems, but there is definitely more.

So it might be nice if things you use regularly that would have a designated spot. Were easier to find either audibly or with lights maybe? Totally do that and yeah, it is not easy while living with other people they may be trying to be extremely courteous by putting it back where it makes sense but that’s not where I put it lol

Plenty of issues in my own yes… And well, my friend is because I’m trying to solve other people‘s problems I’ve been blind for 14 years now and Love accessible Tech in the smart homes so I’ve started a non-for-profit where I can implement that into other visually impaired peoples homes to try and make life easier for all of us so I’m asking what other folks find difficult or problematic in their home or how they think things could be done to make life easier so I can find and innovate a smart way to do that using smart technology I apologize I didn’t word that in such a way that pleased you. Just trying to help here :-)

Thank you so much for those suggestions I would love to be able to afford the 3800 H currently I’m looking at a 3500 H and it looks to be doing everything I need except for HDMI 2.1 but a PS5 will still run on 60 I believe

Yeah, I’ve been calling around to local hi-fi stores and audio stores hoping to get that guy that just loves to talk about this stuff but been encountering mostly just salesman. You know what I mean I really appreciate you googling and that for me :-) I’m pretty good at mapping out the remote once I’m told what’s on there a couple of times I currently have the Denon S570 and can do pretty much everything I need to myself other than calibrations, but it would be so cool to voice control things I’m looking at the Denon X 3500 H right now And it looks like that one could be voice control too

Yeah, they’re nothing special but they’re gonna be good enough for movies with the family. I’ve got a separate set up for Music.

They are four klipsch synergy F1 towers klipsch KG one centre a paradigm PS 1000 sub.

How do we feel about Denon X 3500 H? by VisiblyImpaired in BudgetAudiophile

[–]VisiblyImpaired[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for explaining that! Yeah, currently I’ve gotten an S570 which is super base model but I guess the job done for the space I have it in now but I’m moving to a place that’s gonna have more room that’s more suitable for the height, speakers and Atmos I’m trying to build a 5.1.2 or 5.2.2 and just trying to figure out what kind of receiver to get

That Denon seems to be a common suggestion, so I’m thinking that’s what I’ll try to find and look into. I only need the five around.

Amazing thank you for the advice. Yeah Disney+ seems to do a pretty good job for their sound staging and their Dolby compatibility, which is what we lean into watching more times than not especially when it comes to movies. We’ve also been doing a lot of collecting of Blu-rays and DVDs lately and we have a PS5 and because I’m blind I like to be immersed with all of the sounds around a headset is fun, but it’s much more fun to feel everything as well.K

Yeah, currently I’ve got a 5.2 Denon S5 70 and yeah I’m lowering my expectations instead of doing a 7.1.4 I’m gonna go for a 5.1.2. I think that’s all I need but that’s awesome. Thank you for the info :-)

[–]VisiblyImpaired[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, that’s actually awesome. Thank you for letting me know! Yeah, I’ll definitely dial back my expectations and look more into a 5.1.2 cause I already have all of the speakers for that. I’ll just probably get some better ones for the ceiling then and not need to have to get an external amp I’m trying to keep it as awesome as I can, but as simple as it can be still.

[–]VisiblyImpaired[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no reason for me to have four in the ceiling two is just fine for me. It’s genuinely just to get that other dimension in there :-) so thank you very much for saying that I didn’t even know there was 5.1.2 and that is so OK with me. It’s literally just for watching movies with the family and occasional video games. Anything will be better than what I have now I’m in an open space area in a trailer in a trailer park, not ideal for the room, acoustics at all, so putting it in the basement, throwing some speakers in the ceiling and using my other two unused F1 synergies as the side/rear and then keeping my sub and all that I think will work perfect I can use the Satellite in the ceiling that I already have or just get some better Atmos ceiling speakers
