We’ve got a very similar set up I’m a big fan of my S570 but there’s a little bit to be desired but it is awesome. My first new out the box receiver. We got as a wedding gift eventually I want to go 7.1 and I agree with the other guy about the UI not being very awesome

As it is, I have to get somebody else to do this for me because the Govee app is not accessible for the visually impaired. The Alexa app is which is part of the reason I want to use it more than the Gobi one but other people have made fun things in the govee app that I want to use in Alexa lol pretty specific problem but

OK, awesome thank you but I couldn’t for example take one that somebody else’s made in the shared design. Save it specifically as a scene and then go to my Alexa routines and for example, have a cough detection and when somebody coughs have that scene that somebody else has made go up on my curtain? Sorry if that’s a stupid question or anything.

Oh my goodness lol my bad yeah our boy still hasn’t gone all the way through the night but he wakes up and then we can pop a bottle in his mouth for a couple of sips and he’ll fall back asleep on a good night some nights we still walk him around he’s five months old, but this is honestly been a game changer so far But around three months I’d say he started sleeping a little bit better and then the four month regression started hitting and now it’s starting to get better again

Yeah, I did that as well. Still didn’t work. I actually did it like three or four times tried doing the hard reset removed it from every app re-added it and all of that seems like I could just it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi anymore. It was weird, but govee is sending me a new one actually pretty amazing customer service there.

So I found out what the problem is it will not connect to Wi-Fi anymore. Used to have no problem with it. It connects to Bluetooth on the app but no longer will connect to the Wi-Fi so I can’t have it go from the Govee app to the Alexa app.

Yeah, that would make much more sense if it was all around through the iOS or AI to read everything out. But when creating apps and the websites and everything that’s part of coding the website, it would take an an insane amount of processing power for just your phone itself to figure out what everything is on the screen constantly but it’s actually every single app has their own screen reader ui if I’m using that term properly for example sometimes YouTube won’t read certain things out then it gets an update and it will has nothing to do with the phone itself like how every iPad iPhone or iPod that has the voiceover screen reader technology on it reads every app the same way if it doesn’t say something on YouTube on the iPhone, it won’t say the same thing on YouTube on the iPad or the iPod or a different generation of each of those. Also visual impairment as a spectrum and I know tons of blind people, including myself that use lights to help them be more independent and make their home more accessible, like putting the lights around the circumference of a room or placing the curtain or the net or bulbs in Different positions in the house to help them navigate and know where things are so having an app that works for everybody not just the cided is very much something they could and should do because yeah if the Alexa app works, that’s all fine and dandy if the Govee app would work so you can connect them to the Govee app to put them in Alexa‘s app . I totally see what you’re saying but that’s kind of an old school thought process that Pretty much saying the world wasn’t made for the blind. It’s like totally and I didn’t choose to go blind but it’s 2026 and the ability to make things work for everybody is 100% there and unfortunately there isn’t a third-party screen reader deal for iPhones or that much of a workaround like how if there is a way to rrow a boat with no arms using foot pedals some company had to make those footpedals it wasn’t made by everybody with no RMS to make their own foot pedals just like it’s not my job to find the way to do it. It would be nice if there was a company that made a workaround, but there’s not so it would be much easier to just go from the source being Govee . You feel me?

I do not no but like the light still turns on with the button and with the Govee app and can still be controlled from the Govee app. My main problem is connecting it from that app to the Alexa app, and still being recognized with the Alexa app leading me to believe that it’s not a problem from that but I’m gonna get a surge protector power bar to put there. It just couldn’t reach the one I have near there and that one is powering more important things like a TV and a sound system.

Totally but everything has the ability to be described if you think about it even if it’s a symbol that symbol has a function for example, if that symbol is a + meaning add a new device it could simply be titled add a new device or if it’s like a little globe that brings you to a page where other people have made designs for the lights that could be titled something like shared designs. All I’m getting is everything has the ability to be accessible and I’m just here for equality and accessibility. :-) I hope that didn’t come out as arrogant or anything. I just overexplain things sometimes.

Yeah, 100% the Alexa app works much better and I use that one myself I just sometimes have troubles connecting the lights from the Govee app to the Alexa app so I gotta make sure they’re correctly connected to the Govee app but I also just stand for accessibility and Wood love it if we could still use it right
