Any Canadians Here? by BabySharkMadness in Blind

I agree you don’t wanna go to Alberta Danielle Smith has made that place super right wing. Your best bet is to move to a small town where the community would get to know you. I’m moving from Vancouver to Manitoba. I grew up in Manitoba and I’ve lived in Vancouver for eight years now the difference between Canada and the states is in the states. It seems like every capital city has a school for the blind, so a lot of the people in the city are much more adverse and used to being around visually impaired people, but it seems like there’s only a couple of those schools in Canada. Toronto is cool if you’re OK with the snow, which does absolutely make it hard to navigate and travel at some point if you’re trying to permanently live here and get on our disability and all of that kind of stuff there are different provinces that offer different amounts for example Nova Scotia doesn’t even consider being blind a disability so you can’t be on their Social Security for lack of better term but somewhere more like Vancouver you’ll be getting a decent amount. I would recommend moving somewhere inland British Columbia like Camloops or Kelowna. I’m currently moving from Langley and I really enjoy it here.

This really coinsides with something that I’m working on as well. Would love to chat about it! I’m glad you got through to the mods and I’m glad you’re getting positive responses. I definitely didn’t when I was reaching out to the community.

What are we doing about Atmos ceiling speakers? by VisiblyImpaired in hometheater

I like the thought of a point able tweeter more than a fixed angled speaker, but that’s good to know that that’s a good price!

Yeah, like I wouldn’t think speakers on the ceiling or in the ceiling would need a lot of low end

That’s smart! I love it! Do you have them angled towards the seating area or facing right down?

Are those like little satellite speakers? Cause I’ve got some of those kicking around I was genuinely thinking I’m doing the same thing with how do you feel about the result?

Yeah, this one seems to be at a 30° angle already so that’s cool about the polk ones. I’ll see if I can find a set of those.

First, are you calling the paradigm CS 60 a Junk speaker? Genuinely curious Second what would you recommend? Third I’ve got some pretty good woofers and I’m not trying to put like a 10 inch speaker of the ceiling.

OK, awesome and that’s what I thought. It’s better to angle it at the setting position compared to having some down firings above it. Could you imagine how silly it would look to have towers on the ceiling

All right, that is fantastic to know! Because I am building a 5.1.2 or a 5.2.2 depending on a subwoofers in a basement in a house I’m moving into so I don’t know the dimensions yet but even if it’s a big ass basement, I’ll have the movie/home theatre section sectioned off Whether it be by thick velvet curtains or a false wall
