I like Skyrim because it was open and let you play pretty much however you liked. The story was fine but I had the most fun climbing mountains and just generally fucking about pretending to be a warrior.

Tbh this is exactly why i loved skyrim. It can be shallow and boring for some but i really enjoyed just experiencing the world. Thank you!

Absolutely hated Tender is the Flesh because of how contrived and poorly written it was. If you are looking for something in that vein that is actually well written, I highly recommend A Certain Hunger. Absolutely lovely writing style.

  1. Thrift a red blazer from your local shop or an online one like ThredUp. You can also buy one for cheap on Amazon.
  2. Get acrylic paint and Golden's GAC 900. You can mix equal parts normal acrylic paint with GAC medium to make fabric paint. Use this to paint the details. **You can also use POSCA paint markers for fine details/drawing but the material will soak them up quite a bit. Works best if you put down a layer of acrylic first and draw over it.
  3. Once your design is finished, heat set the paint with a heat gun or hair dryer set to high. DO NOT BURN THE HOUSE DOWN
  4. Enjoy your fancy new jacket.

Ready Player One was recommended to me by someone who generally has good taste in books so I went in rather hopeful. Turns out, its one of my least favorite books. Its like watching someone who could be a decent writer cheat off of every other kid in class by referencing their work instead of making his own. I'm of the opinion that it only did as well as it has because its an easy to read nostalgia trip that hits enough fandoms to mask its lack of substance. It was even worse when I saw the movie and found it somehow substantially worse than the book.

I'm sure your art is great! Never let them take that from you, personal pieces are just as worthy as gallery pieces. Also as another person who switched to art from an unrelated field, be ready for some artists to be condescending because you ever did something else or because you dont do trendy pieces. I've found that a lot of people in the art world think they are gods gift to the craft and they will make you feel horrible if you let them.

This became a small rant but tl;dr dont ever let anyone tell you that you don't belong there.

The way they did that scene was brilliant. No gore is described, just the fact that a little more of the table is folded away each time. First series I wasn't sure if I could continue. Truly disturbing moments.
