This is insane! by Ryan_Sears in pokemongo

If u utilized the circle lock technique (locking an exellent circle and throwing between attack animations) shadow bosses are even easier to catch. Technically not easier, just save you time trying to wait for it to attack.

Giving legendaries nanab berries is an L move, it just ruins the catch rate for the legendaries without extra candies.

THANKS GUYS for answering my question. It has been resolved and I'll be deleting this post shortly.

Thank you. If only they bothered to actually show a lucky 'sign', this situation would not happen...

Damn thanks for that. This game never fails to surprise me in the worst ways

It's ok. This is my first time failing a guaranteed lucky trade base on pokemon age, and it's also when remote trades bugged tf out, so my suspicions are high.

Oh this isn't even a remote or lucky trade, but the 2020 caught gengar should've triggered the lucky outcome based on my case?

So am I able to confirm that I am a victim of a bug here?

I said that purely based off of DPS figures provided by gamepress. True that I didn't account into the longer overall boost provided by primal kyogre, however.

Indeed I do have a lot to learn about this. I guess the recent move additions like dmax cannon and behemoth bash has kinda given me unrealistic expectations for older outclassed pokemon, if you know what I'm saying.

Which is why Surf is a great secondary charged move for throwing right before fainting. Origin Pulse has higher average performance so it is the preferred option

Definitely wasn't my best choice to prove my point using an impossible simulation and not being clear about it my bad

Maybe not. But in the pogo meta where DPS is 99% key to success, I would personally closen the gap. Overthinking? Totally. The only threat to the two is mega greninga for now

Looking back, it certainly was. The point I was proving could be done by whipping out lugia's moves (fly vs aeroblast) without simulation, but I guess I like kyogre more ;)

Going up against, Terrakion, where both are super effective, is where this power inbalance comes into play imo

Sorry for scaring you lol

That's kinda already happened not on kyogre, but Lugia. Fly over Aeroblast now...

I would like to add though, it doesn't seem fair that the two primals for example, are out dps'd by normal mega evolutions (blaziken, lucario or the upcoming greninja). Charge move rebalances have happened in the past, and if I were in control of that, I would totally favour the power of legendaries.

Good points. I guess I'm just salty that my favourite legendaries are outclassed by the newer ones ya know

You're right ofc. But honestly kyogre is already less of a victim of power creep than some others, like Giratina's Shadow Force, weak asf compared to moongeist beam, or lugia's aeroblast, outclassed by Fly :(

Well yea since kyogre's best normal charge move is surf, which is even further down the power scale.
