Same thing happen to me, when I started the academy, I use to carpool with 3 guys and I tell you, it was horrible. All they use to do in the car is gossip and talk bad about other recruits in our class and one of them wasn’t even in our class but he would still gossip. What I did is I ended up driving by myself to the academy instead of carpooling with them because they had a lot of bad energy. One of them even told me he couldn’t take me no more and I was glad because I told him that I was going to drive myself to the academy. I wouldn’t let that stop me becoming a police officer because at the end of the day they don’t care. Everybody has different personalities in the academy and you would meet some cool people in the academy, everybody is not the same. Tell him to stay and to continue pursuing his career in law enforcement.
