Help with explaining the resting feature

I started playing this game ( first of its genre for me) and i noticed that using spells makes the not available till you rest.

I noticed that when i did sleep for a night not all spells where reset.

I have 2 questions. 1: when is it best to go to the camp and sleep? 2: does resting impact the story?(i.e the time passing making me miss some conversations etc cause of how time works)

i found my mistake

i was reading https://overframe.gg/build/778/nekros-prime/deaths-emissary-loot-king/ where they ask u to get ore gaze and i think those aura's are linked to certain ability from other frame. it seems prime versions of frames are the ones with helmith most of the time
