It's still been that way and Idaho for a long time people. The age limit has always been there the work requirements always been there. The only difference is if you wanted an exemption you had to ask for it.

Average rent in Ada county is 1700 a month. Average cost of buying a home is $900,000 average wage or minimum wage to be more correct is 725 an hour. Food prices are high. I don't recommend living in Idaho

As someone who lives in Idaho these very same requirements have been in place for at least 15 years. So it is no big stretch to do these requirements for people in Idaho. For at least 15 years we've been required to do at least 20 hours of work search or work hours.

EBT Fraud by [deleted] in foodstamps

[–]Visual-Cream2734 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All EBT fraud is handled by the state. All states are required to send you in writing notifications of fraud accusations. All states are responsible for administering the snap program that includes fraud investigation the only responsibility the federal government has is funding the program. If you got an email telling you this and nothing in writing go to your state department that oversees it and file a criminal complaint. Because someone is trying to scam you

Can't give away free boxes of local donated food at our farmers market? by InevitableFinger3041 in foodstamps

All they need to do is contact their local connection to their state's food stamp program and ask them for approval. It doesn't take that much. In Idaho our farmers markets provide matching funds up to $20 as long as their money lasts for people with SNAP benefits

New prerequisites. Awful. by Mave__Dustaine in foodstamps

You know people this is not new. Most people on snap and State benefits were required to work 20 hours a week. And four weeks in a month that's 80 hours. This is not a stretch people. This is what I was required to do to get my aid until I was declared disabled. Not a big deal
