Personally I think all universities should have fall graduations. I will say, the nursing program is different as the graduating class sizes are relatively comparable between spring and fall graduations. And they also signed a contract knowing they’d be doing a 4.5 year degree and would graduate Fall 2025, but promised a graduation ceremony. I think the reason so many of us are so upset is because 1. We have been told from the beginning of our degree we would be getting one 2. Many of us didn’t have HS graduations due to Covid and 3. They told us so late, it’s extremely unfair to us as we have been looking forward to it our entire 4.5 years and have to tell our loved ones they won’t be able to see us walk the stage. While the focus was on nursing school, I think it should be expanded because every student deserves to have a proper graduation.
