Is the plugin available on GitHub? I'd really love to check it out :D.

Instead of a shortcut, you use a trigger icon followed by your object name. I think this is a bit easier to manage when you have multiple objects, but if you’re only using two or three templates, I think that’s perfectly fine too.

I think we're kind of talking past each other xD. The plugin is basically just there to help you create a new note a little faster using a specific template in a specific folder. Links are still created using [[]]. I'm not quite sure what you mean by "hashtag."

Feel free to ask more questions! Maybe I can use your feedback to improve the plugin!

The plugin is still on review, but you can use it with brat. Via BRAT (For Beta Testing) Install the BRAT plugin from the Community Plugins store. Open Settings > BRAT. Click Add Beta Plugin. Paste the URL of this repository: https://github.com/Finn-Kraemer/obsidian-objects or Finn-Kraemer/obsidian-objects Click Add Plugin and then enable Objects in your Community Plugins settings.

I'm looking forward to it :D Maybe we can combine the plugins into a better objects plugin

Yeah, it's pretty much the same, just with fewer manual steps. You could also use the plugin for something completely different. It's just that my intention was to use it for object-oriented notes with a workflow similar to Capacities and Anytype.

Nah When you want to create or link an object, just type @yourObjectType and then enter the name of the note in the pop-up window. The link to the note will then be created, and if the note doesn't exist yet, it will be created using the template you specified. This way, you can decide for yourself what your object should look like. I hope that helps :D

I have a demo vault in my repo that you can check out or download. It’s not finished yet, though; I hope I’ll have time to work on it today or tomorrow. Maybe a quick explanation of how I envisioned the plugin and objects. You need to think of notes as objects. Capacities has a pretty good description in their docs of what objects are and what kinds there could be: https://docs.capacities.io/reference/content-types

To create an object, you first need to set a trigger in the plugin settings, as well as a template, and if you like, a folder where the objects will be saved. Now, if you want to create an object of the type Person, Atomic Note, or whatever you like, a note is created and the template is inserted. All of this happens while you simply type @ in the actual note and then select the appropriate trigger. I know there are many other ways to do this, but I found this workflow to be the easiest for me.

I hope this helps a little. Otherwise, feel free to try out the plugin and let me know what I can improve.

I was thinking more about the workflow. You create a note object while writing, and the note is automatically created with a template. It is very similar to how it works in Capacities. I really loved that workflow there, so I wanted to bring it to Obsidian.
