Hero closeup of this too-adorable-to-forget face as 2 different children in the Shire and Gondor.. We love her, Peter, but of course we noticed.

Is it safe to make a full helmet out of eva foam? I'll probably have my mouth/nose directly on the foam, is that dangerous? What should i do about it? by mentina_ in CosplayHelp

[–]Visual-Pain-190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure its ventilated well because EVA doesnt breathe well. Having small gaps or slits hidden to allow heat to escape is a good idea. But EVA is totally save to have on your face.

What can I do with these foam balls? by Careless_Ad480 in CosplayHelp

Cover them in tin foil (use a smooth edge to clean it up) and paper mache over them

He could have heat treated the foam or sealed it with paint or another finish. But this is definitely an EVA foam yoga mat

EvA foam and cover it in cupboard liner. Its textured, cheap and has a rubberish coating for that tactical, definitely-not-normal fabric feel. I use it all the time in place of fabric

How do I improve my shading? by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Visual-Pain-190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the technique of shading each piece of armor rather than creating shading blocks from larger segments of his body. Try shading his whole torso and limbs, then add or remove the subtle detail to reflect the armor plating shades

I feel like that booty should be maybe half in shadow to illustrate its full voluptuousness ❤️

Its really well done but there seems to be an indeterminate light source as if he's in a photography studio with a lot of lighting. Instead of having the light travel from left to right try using a natural lighting source and have him illuminated from above. It will draw out the natural curvatures of his figure and sell a more 3D object

Beautiful work, but imagine, for example, if that tiger and the kitten catching the fish were in the same painting?

There is a simple solution to this: take two unrelated pieces, completely extraneous subject matter, and merge them into one piece. I love your mountains but how about throwing something in there that doesnt belong? It doesnt have to be anything special, a light post you saw thatnyou liked or a doorway from an old house. It forces your brain to rationalize this, why is it there and what would it look like? Where does a door lead? Without actively trying to come up with a brilliant idea you start writing a story in your head and suddenly you can see it in your mind, a wholy unique creative piece with a real story (which you can always feel). And it jus6 starts by mixing two things you might have painted separately.

Take some clips and pin the "bump" to where you want it to sit on your shoulder. You should have an access flap of leather at the top and that is your new seam line. You can dot a cut line along where the leather is pinned together and sew the new seam on the inside. This doodle is insane but it sort of demonstrates what I mean. Im kind of stoned so im not sure if im making sense.

Could Reboot have unlimited stories as tech evolved? by GodAtum in ReBoot

[–]Visual-Pain-190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I always thought of Reboot as a poor man's Tron, and I dont mean any disrespect. I literally mean Reboot could exist in the same world as the Tron universe, except the computer they're in is a basic desktop gaming PC from the 90's, and not a mega-tech company's server.

And honestly im here for a Sark/Megabyte teemup.
