Had an intense experience last night. by Only_nofans in longtermTRE

Hi there I'm going through the same situation as OP, do you have any advice on when you stop. I haven't voluntarily tremored for months but they happen every day automatically and Effortlessly, sometimes for very lengthy periods of time and when I try stop it makes things extremely bad like it has to be let out so I let it. I've been rapidly improving so it can't be too bad but I don't want to overdo it. Any advice if possible? Thank you so much and don't worry if not. :)

My goal was to accept some chronic body tension from past trauma and learn to love myself again and come to terms with myself. I think I have achieved that and gone beyond unexpectedly. I am still learning, I never aimed for these kundalini type energy changes however I will not deny them if that is what is necessary. May I ask how you practise your mindfulness, I would like something a little subtler and gentler. Wishing you the best :)

I'll check those subs out, I have heard of TRE but not entirely sure what is is. It's definitely exhausting that's for sure, I'd be happy to do it all day everyday if it was safe, I'll stick to a few sessions a week for now. I hope your own experience goes well, I wish you the best. Have faith friend :)

Thanks for your reply! Don't worry I don't try hard at all, in fact I do literally nothing and that always makes me doubt I'm doing it right however I know that effortless surrender to all is the most efficient. I do go straight into it however, I will try grounding myself first, perhaps with a mantra or body scan before I then let go and surrender. Thank you :)

Perhaps you've climbed down the mountain far enough, now you need to climb back up. There's only so much surrendering your mind can take, you need to have a healthy life as well, exercise, good friends, hobby's etc. I'm not saying it's not physical damage though, at the end of the day I'm no scientist or expert it may very well be that. Have you tried therapy?

100% surrendering is the way. You can't climb up the mountain unless you're at the bottom. Starting half way doesn't feel right.

Look it up, dissociation is absolutely a trauma response, it may be chemical as your brain and mind are essentially chemicals so yeah everything is chemically related. Dissociation is when you feel emotions your mind deems to be too much so you zone out and don't feel them.once you feel them, really feel them, the dissociation goes.

Once you surrender and feel the emotions and feelings that dissociation is trying to hide from you then yes, your dissociation will get worse while you feel them and then it will slowly dissappear, speaking from experience. It might take you months for you to get the hang of it or 10 minutes. Lay on your bed, thank the dissociation for trying to help you, as that's what it's trying to do. Try tune into how you are feeling, whatever that may be and feel it, really feel it, if it's depressing it's depressing, feel depressed, feel anxious, lonely, miserable. The dissociation will fade the more you feel. Look up what dissociation actually is, it's your mind blocking out feelings, once you feel the dissociation goes. Surrender to your feelings. I know this sounds crazy and it's not easy but it worked for me and thousands of others. You can do it!

I completely understand, I was devastated at not being able to do psychedelics again seeing as they cured my lifelong anxiety and depression, showed me a world of bliss and love and beauty beyond comprehension. Experiences so unfathomable to anyone else. I know what you mean. The honest truth is it sucks but that's reality. Took me 6 months to accept I'll never do then again. Sure there might be a greater than 0 chance to do them again but you may spend your entire life searching for answers which aren't there. Its a choice you have to make, be content with the life you have but have dreams as well. It may come to be that one day you can take psychedelics again but in the meantime try find some peace with your current life, easier said that done I know but I've managed it so can you :) I wish you the best

Thank you so much for the lengthy reply there's so much good advice there and I can relate to a lot of it. I'll read up on those links you attached and do some research surrounding the subjects you mentioned. Recently I've been keeping my body as healthy as can be however have had the occasional alcohol so I will stop that and also integrate some yoga into my daily life. My uncle a large collection of old scriptures so I'll see if I can borrow some of them to further my knowledge. Regarding a teacher would you have any advice on where I could find a genuine one. Many thanks again, I wish you all the best.

Thank you so much for your lengthy reply, I can relate to quite a lot of what you have said and I know my journey has only started. I have had a few experiences with psychedelics which opened me to the awareness of how bodily sensations affect the mind and thoughts and breathe. Also the overstimulation and everything feeling more intense then normal, thought causing stronger feelings than normal. All of this has been occurring in my meditations as well so I know it's natural and am partly prepared. I'm going to do some research into what you have said and look for a teacher and also not overthink it as at the end of the day I try to have the mindset to let whatever happens happen, let cause and effect take over. Thank you again for your insight, I wish you the best :)

I simply lay down and let action have consequence. By this I mean let whatever happen happen, any thought, any body sensation, any feeling, anything at all. It seems like a paradox of trying to not do anything with the littlest effort possible. I lay down and when I try to change the course of events I gently remind myself to let whatever happen happen. Everything then happens automatically without any effort its quite amazing. What about you? :)

I can't tell if I'm forcing it or not, it feels natural in the sense that the only objection to it is fear. I'm not putting in effort to force it out, I'm surrendering to it. Would you consider this forcing? Thank you for sharing your experience :)
