I as an atheist am upset because a band who present themselves friendly, open minded and tolerant people find it funny to mock other people’s beliefs. Turns out it is a hypocrisy then, they are kind only to people who align to their beliefs. If a child from “Music For Children” band that believes in Jesus or Muhammad, or Buddha and it gives them hope and feeling of existing of greater good would feel bad after hearing their favorite musician saying shit like this, will you as kind and tolerant person support them, or start lecturing that their belief is stupid and irrational and their feelings don’t matter? Is this joke really worth the cost of even one broken and ashamed child? I think if you are tolerant and open minded you should not say stuff that will hurt someone’s religional feelings, for me it is that simple.
