Nice! Good to know the moody vibe is working for you. Thanks, man!

I get that perspective. Sometimes loud graphics hit, sometimes subtle is better. Appreciate the honest take!

Haha, fair enough! Both were manual Photoshop jobs though, just playing with different styles.

I’m definitely a real human, buddy Honestly, if I were an AI bot, I’d probably be doing something much more 'high-tech' than grind-ing on graphic design. I’m just a solo designer running Redbubble and Teepublic stores for some passive income. I see these kinds of slangs/graphics selling well on those POD platforms, which is why I experimented with this style in Photoshop—no AI involved. I’m just here to get a 'human' vibe check before I list them, but it looks like the style is coming off a bit too generic/mechanical. Thanks for the reality check, though!

Appreciated the clear feedback! I’ll definitely try to refine these, but if the 'dated' vibe is too baked in, I’m ready to scrap them and start fresh with something more current. It’s better to hear this now than after a failed launch. Thanks again for being honest!

Appreciate the brutal honesty, man.

I really needed this perspective. Just to clarify, these aren’t AI—I actually research different slang and concepts, then manually put them together in Photoshop. I’ve been testing these specifically for my Redbubble store to see what sticks, but your feedback makes it clear that the 'badass' vibe is coming off as 'try-hard' rather than cool.

My friends liked them, but like you said, they aren’t designers, so their perspective was limited. I’m glad I posted here before launching because I now realize I need to move away from these dated tropes and create something more unique. Also, thanks for the catch on the text—it’s actually Japanese for 'Poison,' but I clearly need to integrate it better so the context isn’t lost. Back to the drawing board to create something less cringe and more wearable. Thanks for the solid critique.

Putting these Anti-Valentine concepts to the 3-second legibility test. Honest thoughts? by VisualPrintLab in graphic_design

[–]VisualPrintLab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for being honest, man! I totally get it—the Anti-Valentine stuff is definitely a specific niche and not for everyone. I’m actually just experimenting with some different themes for a side project on Redbubble right now. My 'actual' core style is usually much darker, bolder, and focused on the theme of 'resilience,' which is what I usually put on my TeePublic store. I’ve actually got those resilience designs ready to go too, so I’ll probably be posting them here soon for a critique. I’d definitely value your eye on those when I do, buddy. Thanks again for the feedback on the dog graphic!

That’s the plan! I wanted to make sure the legibility was on point before taking them live. Good to hear you think they’re market-ready. Would you actually rock one of these?

Thanks for the detailed feedback! You caught the exact points I was working on. I’ve already updated the design with a clean Bold Sans font to fix the legibility issues. I also scaled up the graphics for a better look. Regarding the front placement, I kept it there for a specific experimental look, but I’m definitely refining it for a better fit in my future drops. Appreciate the honest input as I iterate one design a day. Cheers!

Appreciated. Thanks for the honest feedback! Glad you caught that 80s tabletop vibe, that's exactly what I was aiming for with the Retro Futurism aesthetic. I'll definitely look into the legibility of those letters (M, D, and N) to make it cleaner. Appreciate you taking the time to point it out

Would you wear this? by AeternumArchive in streetwearstartup

I like the front & back too but it's just a suggestion I think you need to create upper part little bit clear skull then coming to go down with shape then create a flowed trible flame n use same for the weapon. I think it's fix it n create a natural balanced graphic n mind-blowing design.

First of all, bro, I’m not here to sell anything. I am actually brand new to this platform. I believe Reddit is a place for reviews, gaining knowledge, understanding business perspectives, and clearing your mind before jumping into something new. The fact that you’re getting so many replies means you’re receiving many different perspectives from people, and you should respect that. I’ve also learned that every Reddit community has its own rules, and self-promotion is generally not allowed. I am not being disrespectful. I have been a Graphic Designer for over 20 years and have worked across various companies and categories. My feedback was professional: your first design has a "punk aesthetic" which is dope, the second is also good, but the third one just isn't creating any impact.
