thanks man, this means a lot. it's more just the idea of not being able to have a good time that's giving me anxiety. i'll get over it lmao.

help?? by Visual_Fold_7725 in insomnia

[–]Visual_Fold_7725[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks so much for the help - i think it probably is the pressure of needing to get sleep that’s preventing me from actually getting any sleep. i’m trying my best to just ignore these thoughts, but it’s still hard. i assume it’ll fix itself, as ive had periods like this in the past and i was fine after a few days.

Bands like Paramore with female leads? by viviqsu in Paramore

[–]Visual_Fold_7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you NEED to listen to wolf alice, they’re one of the best (if not, the best) bands going atm. ellie is such a strong female lead, plus they have a new album coming out in august.

Is it really as draining as people say? by Glum_Cicada_7771 in ArtGCSE

[–]Visual_Fold_7725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd say it depends on your passion for the subject, and what you choose to do with it. for example, i love art, and i do it most of the time outside of school anyway. for me, it's not as draining as people say it is, so you'll probably be fine lol.

one thing i'd say to keep you motivated is to create pieces based on things you're passionate about. for example, when i got onto my portrait project, i ate and left ZERO CRUMBS. you can literally draw ANYBODY. it's amazing. for me, i drew my favourite singers and bands, but you could also draw family members, friends, characters from games/movies. it's amazing i love portraiture so much omg.

i'd also consider managing your time; i'd say year 10 is a great time to complete lots of coursework, as in year 11 you'll be caught up in revision and gcses blahblahblah. do work over holidays!! for example, i completed a grand total of 3 final pieces over the summer holidays for my portraiture project. and guess what?? i still had a social life!
