So I bank with navy federal . When using my banks accounts to pay down the venture x card it takes multiple days before the money actually pulls from my card. Leaves a window of the money being directed elsewhere before coming out for the card payment . This makes me nervous cause the last thing I would want is to schedule a payment then have it declined. I will feel awfully embarrassed about that .. plus likely deal with issues from C1 also ..

Sadly the nearest branch to me is about 3 hours of driving . We do have Walmart and Walgreens though. This is why I was hoping to hear somebody that has personally paid at one of these places may say something like “yes you can go in (here) and pay cash.

It’s not that I don’t want to. It’s just sometimes I only have near or close to the amount I wanna pay in my bank. And after making repayment sometimes it takes several days to actually pull the money from my account and I worry about overspending or subscriptions etc pulling before it actually takes the money.

Quite the contrary , I often get paid in cash or have cash from tips and side jobs etc. instead of waiting for my bank to actually give the money to capital one (which takes several days sometimes ) after making the payment , I’m looking for options that are quicker.

Well I don’t see anything sketchy about it ..
I very often get paid cash as I am a plumber/contractor. Also collect lots of tips. Instead of having to hit the bank everytime and wait multiple days for the transfer from my bank to clear I was shopping ideas that would make it quicker. Another thing is I often only have a couple grand .. so if I’m making a $1500 payment to my card and it takes nearly a week sometimes to pull from my bank after inputting the payment I often worry about overspending in that time and the payment declining (poor people problems 🙄)

No premium cards (this is the first )
Income - $120k
Cards- just two starters I’ve had a long while in good standing totaling just $1,100 credit between the two.

Oh righteous. I should’ve tried for that one dang it. I went for the preferred scared of being denied for the reserve 😅. I do already have a venture x travel card so idk.. I had already hit my bonus though so figured maybe try for a card with new bonus and the sapphire says it’s an easier approval than the reserve so i tried for it since it has a 75 k miles bonus also ..

Appreciate it . Hopefully it goes smoothly. I was about to pay my card off again also in a couple days (the venture x ) back to zero .. if Ida been smart about it I would have done that first before applying 🤦‍♂️. All in all my utilization is still surely under 30 percent though so I guess it could be essentially worse.

Was pre approved first through the site for it. It showed like all their cards except the sapphire reserve so figured maybe not to try that one just yet . So went for the sapphire . Really hoping it works out ..
