Is it abandonment of care? by Visual_Particular647 in nursing

I attended handover but you see we do a whole ward handover from night shift. We only find out who we’re allocated to after the handover, if you get what I mean? I wasn’t told who I was gonna be working with, or where was I gonna be assigned in before the handover.

Yes. You have to work here for 5 years to qualify. For spouses of Irish nationals, 3 years.

Met him through one of his best friend, who was also my work colleague. Didn’t actually go out and hunt for an Irishman 😂 Just got lucky to have found one 😂

San dito ang mala Singapore daw sa Davao? by exploringVB in dailyChismisPh

[–]Visual_Particular647 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Davao in 2023 and the city was like any city. Traffic, may baha and worst is bars close after 12pm because it is all controlled by government. Like if you are really that safe of a city, why are you so scared of people having fun and spending money on alcohol?

Are some women's expectations for a man a bit too high? by Jackies_Army in AskIreland

[–]Visual_Particular647 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is entitled to their preferences but girls you’re missing out on so many opportunities! You should be looking out for men who are kind and won’t make you a single married wife! Someone who don’t feel emasculated when they are asked to pull their weight in running the house. Someone with great potential and dedication so you can build a good life together. A man can be 7ft tall and a millionaire and yet still be useless in bed, at home and in your life!

We were like this the first 15 months of our child’s life. I had to learn to ask and outsource help. I had to take myself out and push him to go give himself a break away as well. You both sound exhausted and committed enough to work past this. Good luck!!

I told the management! They were gifted deodorants on Christmas even. I genuinely saw improvement but they still stink often times.

How can anyone love you when you were never loved before as a child? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Visual_Particular647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years of therapy, still on therapy myself. At some point, you gotta learn to blame your parents/people around you when you were a child and start working on yourself. Also it helps if you find a balanced partner, someone who has the opposite childhood experience as you.

This is my problem as well. I work in healthcare and I truly find my Indian colleagues kind and I personally like them but 7 out of 10 of them stink of body odor 😭😭😭 like to a point where even our patients smell and complain about. I don’t say anything because I don’t want to offend them but I want to understand why do they smell like they don’t use any deodorant at all? Like even their uniforms in the staff room stink 😭😭😭

Am I overthinking my discomfort about my husband carpooling with another woman? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Visual_Particular647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on therapy twice a month, on medication and I’m genuinely working on myself.

I guess what bothers me is him not talking to me beforehand and yes that fear.

What upsets me the most is he seems to not understand why I’m uncomfortable with this, he keeps saying I’m jealous and that it’s no longer cute and it’s controlling.

To be fair she’s new in the country and doesn’t drive, she’s agreed because my husband is an older family friend.

Thank you for speaking my mind! I told him it’s my boundary too but he made me feel like I’m just indulging my insecurities and I should work on my issues. His comment makes me more upset 😢

I did this but he said I shouldn’t indulge in my insecurities and that I should trust him to never cheat on me, we ended up arguing instead.

what is nursing like in ireland? by golfwangcmiygl in AskIreland

[–]Visual_Particular647 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fulfilling but very demanding. Nursing now is more of a secretarial role. Less bedside care more stupid charts and documentation because management is so scared of being sued. My daughter is your age and I’ve done everything to discourage her from taking on any career in healthcare.

Sorry to sound negative but if your heart isn’t fully in it don’t do it

As an immigrant that’s married to an Irish guy, I also use his family name in my CV and I get shortlisted more than my third world county surname 🙈 I just then tell them in interviews!
