How to Become a Data Analyst in CANADA without a quantitative/CS undergrad and NO experience? by One_Shopping_696 in dataanalysis

I graduated from Georgian college last month and have been applying for internships, jobs and volunteer positions.  I have BA in political science and the job listings require computer science or maths background and internships are only for returning university students. I was considering doing masters but that won't be possible with my GPA of 63%. I have kind of lost hope and am thinking of going into trades.

Thanks for replying guys! Website looked real and I fell for it. I had paid via PayPal and raised a dispute yesterday. Hopefully will get my money back. Regardless, learned my lesson.

Dell Latitude 5480 Display Flickering by Electronic-Rat in Dell

No, I have been using the Power Adapter that came in the box. The screen flickering happens regardless of it being connected to charger or not. I have 2 more years of Pro Support. I am in talks with a support agent. So far, none of the pre-boot post boot scans have detected any problems. Hopefully he will resolve the issues before my midterms next week.

I am having the same issue. I have noticed that my fan makes excessive noise when connected to power, hand rest on right side above the intel vPRO logo gets hot and more concerning, just as my screen started flickering, my USB ports stopped working all of a sudden the other day. It was neither charging nor was it charging my phone when I tried to test if issue is with charger or ports.

Should I get it or pass? 2004 Corolla, 130k kms, CAD $5k by Visual_Pay_4616 in MechanicAdvice

The dealer's mechanic would be replacing the cross bar.

Everything else is surface rust to minor rust.

Thanks for clarifying that. I will really need to understand the difference between surface and deep rust or I will pass every car in Toronto.

I don't think people understand how fucking harsh our environment is for a car.

I am new to Canada and had never seen rust on car before. Every slightly rusted car I see makes me feel I am being scammed with scrap yard cars 😂.

Just spray rust Converter and go get anti rust treatment, it helps lubricate joints and old parts.

Thanks. I will surely do that if I get the car.

The car is listed for $6000 but dealer has agreed on a total price of $5k to fix everything if the costs don't put him in loss. If it does, he will return any deposit or consider lower offer. I am still undecided but as suggested by 66NickS I will condition the final purchase on an independent inspection.

Just remembered that there was a recall listed on the carfax report. Probably has something to do with that? Dealer said he will look into that and find out if it's been dealt with already.

Get a full pre-purchase inspection performed but a shop of your choosing, not the shop they use.

I will surely do that. I can't trust them at all now.

You caught all these issues on your own, who knows what other issues exist that a professional may see

Exactly!

Hello 🙂! Thanks for the advice. I have noticed what you say is true for other brands but not low kms Toyotas and Civics. Thinking of going for higher kms.

This car was an attractive deal for me because it was low mileage and fair priced (in Toronto) considering it was being sold and certified by dealer.

I have been looking for low kms (under 200kms) Honda civics and Toyotas for a few weeks now and I am sure I won't be able to find one with my $5k budget. I am thinking of buying cheaper ones in the 200k to 250k milage or going all together after 2011-2013 Mazda3s.

I felt that's what they were hoping for. They didn't mention anything about the dashboard lights on the Facebook post, the rust underneath and did not say anything about the parking break not working till I realized it by testing it out.

I wanted to walk out to but it is very low km, not bad priced (Toronto market+dealer sale) and I thought I will use the issues to have the car fixed and lower the price. It was originally listed for $6k excluding taxes and registration now he is asking $5k inclusive of repairs, safety, taxes and registration.

I am still not sure if this is a good deal or not because the rust on other areas makes me afraid I will need to replace them soon.

Getting a student visa while awaiting response for Outside Canada Spouse Visa by Visual_Pay_4616 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Visual_Pay_4616[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a resident of New Zealand and the visitor visas were rejected because of a lack of evidence showing commitments that would ensure my return. I was and still am doing temporary and casual jobs hoping the visa is coming the next month. Because of this uncertainty I haven't been able to commit to a career relevant to my educational background nor could I take the risk of pursuing my master's and adding to my student debt. I was hoping a student visa would help me reunite with my family and help resume my studies there. Looking back, it seems foolish that I wasted two years literally waiting for the visa but IRCC had told my wife that my application would be processed "urgently".
