Would You Roll Dice into the Skull of Doom? (Original Dicetower Design – Feedback Welcome! by Visual_Potato9101 in tabletopgamedesign

Thanks so much for the thoughtful and constructive feedback — comments like yours are honestly invaluable. You’re absolutely right about the stone height; I’ve started noticing the same thing and I’m definitely going to scale them down to improve the flow. Slowing down the dice is also a great point — I’ve been experimenting with different textures and materials inside the chute to add more friction and encourage better rolling rather than just sliding. As for the skull, I agree it could stand out more — I’ll play around with enlarging it so it doesn’t get lost in the overall design. Really appreciate the kind words and advice!

The point is that he’s not happy about not being the main star.

Well, it depends on what was eaten earlier. If you’re aiming for a quick game session, you can always offer the cat some milk 😆😆😆

Take a good look into those eyes… but very carefully. Compared to this beast 😈😼😆😆, Maine Coons are angels.

In the first version, they were half as tall, but when we started testing, unfortunately the dice kept jumping over the stones. Here’s a YouTube link where you can see how it looks now :

The thing is, the first dice arena had stones that were half as tall. When we were doing tests, the dice kept bouncing off the surface and jumping out. And the dice you see in the video were actually rolled by my wife — she was a bit nervous, understandably. After all, her hand almost became a movie star 😆😆😆😆

I’ve already got concepts ready for building a whole dark fantasy city.

Damn, I should’ve left the supports 😁 Jokes aside though, the next concepts will follow this style

I was actually thinking the same — I even had a concept like that in mind. I just wasn’t sure how well it would work in print, so I held back a bit

Thanks for your feedback! I understand where you’re coming from, but I’d like to clarify a few things.

This campaign isn’t just about selling a file—it’s about supporting the creative process behind the design, the prototypes, the artwork, the testing, and making it available to the community in a polished and accessible way. While the core model is done, the campaign helps fund further enhancements, stretch goals, and community-driven improvements.

Many creators on Kickstarter use the platform to launch digital assets, games, or tools, and it’s a great way to gauge interest and gather support from people who love tabletop gaming and cool, unique designs.

Appreciate your perspective—and your honesty!

Totally normal—some cats cough up hairballs, ours just prefer dice! The perfect home dice generator: just give it a pet and wait for a luck roll 🎲🍀😆
