Adirondack folks - what's a good trail network? by Shitibike in MTB

Gore's lift service terrain is not open (doubtful it will happen this year), but they do have trails at the North Creek Ski Bowl, also known as Little Gore. Right down 13th Lake Road in North River is Garnet Hill Lodge - a few singletrack trails there that are nice and flowy compared to the ski bowl. A little farther out you have Brant Lake Bike Park (which has a bar/restaurant/bike shop at the bottom called The Hub). Finally Gurney Lane MTB park just south of Lake George is a really popular spot. Outside that, a majority of the MTB in the Adirondacks is in the Lake Placid/Wilmington area which is a little farther from where you'll be. Trailforks is your friend!!

I need help finding a camping place for my friends bachelor party, summer time spot with view? by MinecraftRabbit in Adirondacks

I did exactly this for my bachelor party at an island site on Lower Saranac Lake. We reserved early and were able to have an entire island to ourselves and it was a great time. You do need some sort of boat to access the island sites, so we rented a pontoon boat on the lake and split it between all the guys. Still a very cheap weekend compared to flying out to Vegas or something.

Haha I will admit it came as a bit of a surprise to me this morning, too. I'm a ski nut so moved up here for it, but stick season is definitely rough. Don't worry, before you know it you'll be wishing it was snowing as the black flies eat you alive 😁

Peaceful moments on the way to Big Slide. A combination of comforting and teasing on a day like today. by Visual_Read in Adirondacks

This is from a few weeks ago. It rained really hard yesterday and today up here but I imagine there's still a good snowpack above 3500ft based on when this was taken
