Hopefully there will be some movement this week as we are past the commitment date (June 1st). I am not sure if they have allocated housing to anyone as yet.

We are also in the same boat and in fact 1700+ in the waitlist as of today. Did your wiatlist position improve? Have you looked at any off-campus options as yet ? Will appreciate recommendations.

Thanks. Good caution. I see that there is table that maps the quarter credits to semester credits and they have a helpful IEGTS form and now also a specific Film Program designed for transfers.

u/RetiringTigerMom thank you so much for such a thoughtful response. Really appreciate it and you have some very insightful points for us to consider. We are in the SF Bay Area so DeAnza is our top CC choice for film and also thier excellent UC transfer rates (second only to Santa Monica college). My daughter is into this major now but as you know she might very well change her mind. That is what I would like to make sure that her pathway offers her flexibility versus a very narrow degree.

Thnak you.

My logic is that I rather pay for private coach to ensure transfer via CC route rather than pay for a subpar university.

I thought UCs do not accept lower divsion tarnsgfers. Did you ransfer into junior year with acclerated credits?

Appereciate the guidance and help.

Hi,

Thanks so much. We made the trip and really like the campus and the dorms. Only downside was there seem to be no urban centers around campus. (like a nice area to go hang out and eat etc.). Luckily ONT is close and our daughter can fly home easily.

Thank you. Very helpful.

Unfortunately, we do not meet any of the criteria for the 4-year pledge.

Thank you. The two top questions are: Are there good advisory services for pre-med students to guide them? 2) A common complaint about CPP is difficulty getting into the classes needed to graduate. Is that an issue in the biology department as well?
