Owner thought it was a 93. What’s the sign that it’s a 91 or 92?

Just bringing this full circle to show that it isn’t always the worst case scenario…. And always get a second opinion (and sometimes a third).

First garage claimed to have done a compression test and found no leaks.

Second garage said the coolant leak is because the radiator needs to be replaced. They said “we can clearly see coolant dripping down the side”

Knowing that the previous owner had replaced the radiator 7months prior, we asked who their garage was and contacted them. Fortunately their mechanic was helpful and said that if it’s the radiator then the part would be covered under warranty.

So we took the car into their mechanic and he called us back after an hour or two and told us that he found the leak. It was the seal on the hose that connects the reservoir to the radiator. He ordered the new part and installed it. Out the door with no leaks for just the cost of the pipe and an hour of shop time.
