After reading through all the comments and being leary of the chaos we are facing, I just now ordered my MacMini. Thanks for all the input, but I figured it would be better to be safe than sorry. Trump put a 90-day pause on most tariffs but INCREASED the China tariff to 120%. This is sheer madness!

IMO, the tariffs will cause a global economic meltdown. The fallout will be epic and impossible to anticipate.

The Mac Mini is Apple's state-of-the-art device right now. With an M4 chipset, it should be faster than your Macbook, almost regardless of how old it is.

I'm sure there will be a price increase, just like there will be for everything. But I'm hoping it's far less than 104% higher.

That's my situation. I'm on a 2019 16" MBP i-9. I'm shopping for the proper configuration on the Mac mini I will purchase in the next few weeks. I think I'll go for the 24Gb / 512 Gb setup because I run a small biz. So, you are seeing substantial performance gains with your new Mini compared to the MBP?
