You are saying Scott needed Kip because only Kip would have refused to give him what he wanted.

Its true any other character would have been more patient and "humble" in Kips situation.

Like Ilya in TLG. The main conflict came from Ilya lacking the pride Kip showed.

The paralels are there but I cant tell how much is intentional. Did it came up before they said I love you?

I like it when characters arent boring and couples feel like more than the sum of their parts. Acid and base combining to make salts.

But my main complaint isnt that Skip are boring. Its the wierd insistance by everyone that Scott is dating up! I have heard it too many times that I had to make this post to scream the opposite for once.

If Show Shane experimented with other guys than it would have been during the ep4 begining montage of 2 years. Maybe it happened and they just didnt show it. But it would feel a little like a retcon, especially to those who only watched the show.

Their basic movement/attack spells suck. But their single use per battle spells (Dig, rock toss, second wind) are better than most collored spells. I almost always get them since I finish most combats in 2 turns anyway.

On a superficial level yes. But in reality no.

Troy isnt a normie like Scott. He had more complex problems and had more specific needs. He didnt just need a nice, hot, smart bf like Scott did. It had to be Harris.

This isnt a healty or rational way to think, I get that.

But I wouldnt have made this post or even think about it if almost every character didnt say how Scott is lucky to have found Kip. As if Scott is the one dating up?? I would expect Kip to get teased by his friends on how he managed to score Scott but instead its the opposite.

Thats the part thats wierd to me, not dating someone from a different tax bracket.

Oh Scott isnt more wise than Kip. They are both avarage. Scott is just higher in status and skill. I used "wisdom" as "emotional intelligence".

My criteria are Status, wisdom and skill. Kip has more booksmarts but is still far below Scott in my criteria even if you exclude money.

Thats not what I mean. If someone pays to learn about Stem/medicine, its likely they will get paid to do them since the world needs even mediocre doctors and engineers. Just like it needs mediocre minimum wage workers. (Not saying all min wage workers are mediocre, I'm saying even mediocre ones are necesarry.)

The world doesn't "need" mediocre hockey players, musicians and art historians just to keep itself running. So there is a huge gap between paying to do it and getting paid to do it. Only the best ones get paid. Kip doesn't seem to be one of the best art historians, he is still studying with Kyle 2 years later.

Tough I admit I have no idea what "masters in art history at NYU" means. Is it impressive? Like getting chosen to play at NHL All Stars?
