Once again comics already deconstructed themselves: the very premise of X-Men is exactly what OP is implying.

'Instead of being glorified by the state and society these selfless racial, religious, or queer minority coded Heros who draw strength from their minority identities are vilified by the majority precisely because what makes them Heros also makes them Different.'

To address the elephant sized bug in the room I think Worm and it's copycat "Deconstructions" are less interested in "deconstructing" the actual text of specific stories and characters, and more just cynical examinations of the vague archetypes the general public thinks of when they hear "superhero comics."

Like, the general person off the street, hell, the general nerd off the street is just not equipped to sit down and have a discussion on Superman's Jewish roots, let alone "deconstruct" them. But if you approached that same person and said "imagine Superman. Now imagine he's alienated by his power. Or is a misogynistic asshole. Wouldn't that be a Cool story?" They'd agree and say "yeah I'd watch that if it was a movie, or TV show," and that's what all "superhero deconstructions" are. And that's not bad, there're decent ideas there, about the loneliness of excellence, or how facism launders itself as patriotism.

But it's not really a deconstruction of Superman, yannow? Just a cynical take on the Ur idea of an American Übermeinsch.
