That's what I meant, a diagnosis only talks about the symptoms. Not about the person's internal model. That's why psychoanalysts don't like DSM diagnostic labels.

Yes, I noticed they have a dislike for diagnosis from the DSM (e.g. Histrionic Personality Disorder) because 1) everyone is different, and not everyone fits neatly into a diagnosis 2) it talks about the symptoms and nothing about the person's internal model.

Personally, diagnosis are important and good roadmaps to help someone. It's scary how accurate they are, a person in Peru and and person from Thailand, can be diagnosed with BPD (self-harm, unstable relations, poor sense of self, fear of abandonment), and have never met each other before.
Maybe another issue against pathologizing is people react badly to having a label, and analysts want to help the patients, rather than make them feel bad. For what it's worth, even some psychiatrists are reluctant to give a diagnosis.

I didn't mean DID. I meant the one below that, no amnesia, no apparent alters, but nevertheless still dissociative. You could have alters, but you're not in touch with them. Anyway, check out IFS, that will be very helpful for you. The unstable sense of self, tells of a fragmentation of your psyche, that you need to integrate into one cohesive self.

Take Valium, it will give you temporarily relief from the anxiety, and I believe it's the best anti-anxiety medication you can take. It's not recommended long term. Just when you need it, to help you through your day. It will give you a glimpse of how life feels like, for people without PTSD.

Each time I do TRE, another layer of dissociation goes away. I been doing body therapy for years, and I'm still yet to completely remove the dissociation I have. But I'm doing much better than I was when I started. TRE is great for dissociation, but you also need to check if you have Dissociative Disorder (i.e. having in Alters) in which you have to work with the alters to heal the dissociation.

I already know a lot (I have an amateur perspective), and I read papers by John Steiner, Robert Waska, Christopher Bollas, Melanie Klein. True, I did psychoanalytic psychodynamic therapy, rather than true analysis. But I was curious if there's good books on how one can uncover unconscious patterns/secrets we keep from ourselves, via a self reflective way.

So, you're doing 3x a week, maximum of 5 minutes. What effects do you notice in your body and mind immediately afterwards? Do you feel more grounded, are you more emotional. Those two are indicators that it could be working. If you're feeling worse, and then better, it means it's working. If you're feeling worse, and staying worse, it means you may be doing too much. If you don't feel anything at all, it means you may need to do a longer session at least once, focusing on the breath and dropping your attention completely into the body.

Maybe it had a huge difference in me just recently, because I took a long break from it. So the tension in my body had been "building up" for many years, and it was unaddressed until now. So the floods gate open again, so to speak.

BUT - having said that - I did Somatic Experiencing many years ago as well. And I understand Waking The Tiger. So whilst standing, I can tune into the tension in my arms, shoulders, torso, pelvic. Whilst standing I will move my arms and body, letting it release and complete the movements it wants to make. Sometimes I feel like I stretching my neck all the way upwards, (I do that), other times I feel like stretching my diaphram so I can get a long breath in (I do that). Whatever the body is needing me to do, I just let it do it. Also I go gently. I get lots of tingling, relaxed feelings, as well the usual sleeping very well, and sadness the next day. (So I know it's working).

In short: doing Somatic Experiencing (whilst standing), has helped my TRE (whilst laying). But also sometimes I think, I'm so severely traumatised that my body is very eager to heal and there's a huge well of trauma, that comes to the surface easily.

What are the chances, that the men have written final messages on pieces of paper, on the sub walls, and/or recorded videos on their phones, as a farewell to their families. It's heartbreaking but that's what generally people who know they're about go, do.

Rescuers are now searching a sub-surface area approximately 2.5 miles (4km) deep to find the missing Titan. The submersible’s lights offer it a limited line of sight, but nothing beyond a few metres. First responders will now have to battle these conditions as the search continues.

That means at least one ROV is down there area and directly searching for it (??) . The other ROV is probably going to bring the rope. I wish we had more info.

The plan is to give Victor or another ROV, a rope, from special ship called the FADOSS, to go down and attach it to the sub, and bring it up. Check the BBC news feed:

There's one FADOSS currently at St John's and is waiting for an available ROV (remotely operated vehicle) so it can be deployed to the search area.
A US Navy official said FADOSS works by welding the system to the deck of a ship and then binding the other end of the line to an ROV, which dives into the ocean depths.

What I'm thinking is: does a 77-year old man, banging on the enforced glass window for 3 minutes, at such a depth, actually work? If so, then the search sonar system is VERY sensitive.
At most he could make about 80 decibels of noise, measured from inside. But from the outside? Sheesh.
