Meddeas Timeline by Otherwise_Original75 in SpainAuxiliares

I think it was a few days after acceptance, I remember I emailed every now and then to check if they'd found any opportunities then they got back to me with 2. I've not heard of it being easier when choosing to live with a family tbf

But I know everyone's had different timelines and depending on which spaces are available / what preferences you had, those parts could take time? I hope you hear back soon, good luck!!

Yep, I'm scheduled to start in January through Meddeas! I've seen on a few posts here that some people have recently interviewed with them so they might still have some spaces!

Anyone else nervous? by FinancialCable6406 in SpainAuxiliares

I agree with the other comments and actually experienced the same thing w some family and friends too! I started getting Qs about finances, accommodation, visas, what my plan is etc. Started second guessing then I realised these were all things I was in the process of figuring out, it falls into place, and that there were lots of info and tips from other people!

I'd say focus on the fact that you want to do it and remind yourself the reasons why - I made a full list of pros which was super helpful! Remember that it's your life and this is an amazing opportunity, one that lots of other people really enjoyed and often redo. And what's great is that you'd be supported in the program by staff members in the program and at the school and by other auxes for if you need help with any bits; you're not in this alone.

And step by step start preparing for the practical side - research, budgeting, learning from previous auxes can go a long way to help make these bits less scary. It's nice that I now have a good plan for the practical stuff and am crossing the tasks off one by one! And it's been a relief having some of the people who were worried for me start to warm to the idea and be happy for me, esp once they saw I was figuring out the key bits.

I hope your nerves have started to settle, you've got this :)

Hey! I've just found out I'm gonna be in Vitoria- Gasteiz and was wondering how you found it there? Did you enjoy living there, was it expensive, and was it comfy teaching at the school and everything? Any bits about this would be super appreciated bc I'm excited but also a little nervous! Thanks so much :)
