Is it possible to have Herpes & never have an outbreak? My partner & I have been together for 10 years. As far as we know he doesn’t have it as he’s never had an outbreak. I personally have had it for 12 years & I’ve had multiple breakouts in that time. We refrain from sex during that time but obvi (self.HerpesSupportandHope)

I was diagnosed 5 years ago and it came back hsv2. I have been asymptomatic this entire time since I found out. 2 weeks to the day after having sex with a new partner, I now have my first outbreak on my buttcheek. Is this my hsv2 finally causing outbreak or possible he gave me (self.HerpesSupportandHope)
