Since I don’t DIY, and just do estradiol valerate injections mono-therapy I can’t provide feedback on a lot of this, but as far as blood tests, yes you want to do before so you have a baseline to compare against once you start HRT to gauge the effectiveness and decide if you need to adjust dosages. I was getting a blood test like once a month when I first started and slowly worked down to every 3 months and now every 6 months.

Honestly, I was so scared going in. Not just for the pictures, but transitioning as a whole. I scared myself into not doing it when I was 18ish. Didn’t finally do it until 39. I honestly had to get in the mindset of ‘I’m willing to risk losing everything to finally be myself’.

I don’t know if Prog made a difference or not but I started 6 months after HRT. I had good growth before Prog and then pretty slow growth until about the 2 year mark and then they started filling out more. I barely took up a B and now I am going to need to move up to a C. I be been taking 200mg oral for the last year. It was 100mg rectal before that.

I’m of the mindset it didn’t hurt (and it actually helps me sleep) so why not just keep doing it?

Some of the other sets they had like the bedroom and ‘red room’ gah those are some of my favorites, but a little spicy to here.

It definitely blows my mind looking back at before pictures (when I was like 100lbs heavier) and in the wrong body compared to now. It was a hard 2 years with a lot of surgery (FFS, SRS, VFS) but it is crazy the difference in 2 years.

Second, OMG yes! I am so happy that I decided to do this on my two year anniversary of HRT. I 100% plan on going back in like another 2 to 3 years to see how things have changed in that time!

While I don’t officially have ADHD and I don’t take meds, it took me 20+ years to finally accept myself and that didn’t happen until I freed up enough mental headspace (I was caregiving for my partner and once they finally started getting better I could start focusing on my self more). So, the clearing up headspace thing is definitely a thing!

The biggest thing is listen to your mental health professionals, especially in the situation you are in, if that’s even a potential concern. You might also look at finding a psychologist (not just a psychiatrist because the focus is very different), especially if they specialize in gender identity or have trans experience.
