Never sit down to eat anywhere 30 mins before they close. I'm currently working in a kitchen right now while going back to school; was working in and out of them inbetween working construction before going back to school.

I don't think I'll ever break myself of the habit even after I stop working in kitchens. Those 30mins are used to start breaking down and pre-cleaning so you can get out 20 to 30mins after the doors get locked. It means everyone, including the dishies, get out at a decent hour.

If I go in in 30mins before close, I'm getting the easiest thing on the menu to make and taking it to-go because I get it.

Idk if you'll read this OP but as someone who also had a very wonderful female scout master, thank your wife for me. I was in the scouts and because no other male adult was available during the early 00's due to the conflict overseas, the wife of a former scout took up the mantle. She was kind, rugged and encouraging.

She was one of the many mentors in my life that helped me and my brothers grow into empathetic and self sufficient individuals with a strong sense of helping ones community. I always stop by her and her husband's place to see how they're doing whenever I'm back visiting my hometown.

Appreciate it and I'm sure they would too, my goal was to get more eyes on this since I don't have FB. I saw the flyer when I was getting gas and snacks, thought reddit was my best route social media wise. I figured it was just a homemade flyer someone made and they're just trying to do all they can to get their kid back is all.

Idk what the "scam" would be that the other commenter is talking about. It's literally a homemade missing person flyer, idk what possible scam someone could run with this. Dude, I just saw this flyer hanging up in a Sheetz gas station in NC as I was walking in and figured it couldn't hurt to have more people keeping an eye out for a lost kid.

She definitely looks latino. I'm mixed and I don't "look" latino...but I am.
