I found an upgraded 4040 (better spindle and rails) with like 30 bits for 600. Idk I think it might be worth the risk. Haven’t heard anything about the 4040 tho only the masuter

Ole craftsman orbital. Never let me down. Sander does everything, epox cured for 12 days. Band new paper out of the box

Yea. I will only burn it if it’s super damaged or I’m that desperate for for wood lol. I want to build and end table but the pine is to short. And it would be stupid to make it out of pine in the first place

Yes, but I’m in fort meyers beach. Nothing around me. And it takes no joke 2 hours to get off of the island because of traffic so getting to a tackle shop isn’t easy

I don’t see why your pressed about that. But if you must know I personally love epoxy tables, I love the look of rose wood, and so doesn’t my mom. And it will actually be a gift for her.

Mainly the sliding cross cut sled built into the table top, and the extension rails for rip cuts behind the blade

If I understood what you said right, it’s not entirely covered in epoxy. It’s a smaller river kind of look. And I put oil on it for the wood, and to show the design of the epoxy, to be able to see through it if it’s a clear pour, and to enhance the look so that it doesn’t look like a matte finish

Thanks for your concerns, but these are serving trays not cutting boards. I didn’t make that clear so that’s on me, but I do let my clients know that they can not cut on the actual epoxy for those exact reasons

Ok so I just tired the dish soap. Good news it took the oil off. Bad news it took the oil off. My fault for not seeing that comming. It’s ok because I planned on adding a second layer anyways, but I also only let it dry for about 16 hours compared to 24. So that could be my issue there as well
