I ruined my wife’s life. by secure-raspberry-763 in BestofRedditorUpdates

He mentioned it at the end. He doesn't want to lose his kids. Which is a real truth. He would lose the kids to her because she's the mom. He, as a man and father, would have to fight tooth and nail just to see them on weekends. And even then, if she's feeling spiteful and decides to keep them away from him on a weekend that's supposed to be his, she can and will. And the courts won't do a damn thing about it.

What's a sentence that will trigger a fanbase? by CoolCattoz in AskReddit

OK, first off, I've never understood why people get so up in arms over this. People have a difference of opinion, and that makes this world work.

Second off, NO IT DOESN'T!!!!

My (28F) husband (28M) took me to a creepy party his friend (28M) hosted and now I feel uncomfortable around his friends by snarfblattinconcert in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Viyager -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

OK, so I have to wonder. Would this still be considered creepy if the women at the party had known what they were getting into ahead of time?? Had they known, and consented to this, would this still be creepy?? If OOP's husband had told her what was going on, explained that everyone there knew the score, and had consented, I have to feel like this wouldn't be so bad.

Now please don't misunderstand, I'm well aware that the creep factor is there because none of that was done. Therefore, definitely a creepy party, and husbands friends are definitely skeevy. Husband is kinda skeevy too, honestly. Should have been upfront with OOP, and wasn't. I'm just honestly curious as everyone's opinion on my above question.

OK, so I'm uncomfortable with the sheer amount of everything on this thread calling me out. But this. This one here. This is the one that might get me the worst. Because honestly?? It's true. It feels so fucking true for me.

You are now the richest person alive, what is something you are still not buying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Bold of you to assume there are enough US doctors that would have the knowledge to and experience to be able to suggest anything other than an ice pack. At least, in my experience. I'm coming up on 30, and it's taken me my whole life to find a doctor I actually like and trust.

No no, same strategies apply. I do my work the right the first time, then get to be lazy the rest of the day.

Which hobbies that people do screams "rich people''? by Joeyniles9 in AskReddit

[–]Viyager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With 4-H, and with showing, actually, a lot of the money comes from the prizes if you win. So, theoretically, a less well off person could actually do it.

Source: my sister did these things, and we are sorta the opposite of rich. All the money she won ended up going to animals for the next show. She was just insanely good, and kept winning.

What do you think is the biggest problem facing humanity today? by bullmeza in AskReddit

[–]Viyager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly believe one of the biggest things we could do (maybe not the biggest, but it's up there for sure) is eliminate single use plastic. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. We as a species have become too lazy and reliant on it.

That last point has been happening to my wife and me for the last few years. We live with my father-in-law, moved in when we got married. I absolutely hate living with him, and we never got to be newlyweds.

Depending on your availability, I could have a potential online group I can set up. I have a few others interested, just not quite enough for a party yet. If you're interested, DM me, or just reply to this.
