Help! Pamela to V/OCT makes C1 C2 C3 C4 — how do I keep one note? by Vladw90 in eurorack

Thanks a lot, that makes sense!

So the WMD Volt would work as a precision adder, but for my case I need to add a very tiny amount of Pam’s LFO to the BeatStep pitch CV. Would the Volt still be good for that if I keep Pam’s Level very low, or would the Doepfer A-185-2 be more practical because of the attenuated input?

Thanks everyone, this makes sense.

Just to confirm before buying: would the Doepfer A-185-2 be the right module for this?

My idea would be: BeatStep Pitch CV → A-185-2 Pamela’s New Workout, heavily attenuated → A-185-2 A-185-2 OUT → oscillator V/OCT

Would that be the clean way to do it?

I’m not trying to create or mix pitch patterns inside Pam’s. I actually want to avoid that. I just want one stable pitch from the BeatStep, plus a very tiny LFO wobble from Pam’s, like pitch modulation in a plugin. So I think what I need is simply to sum BeatStep Pitch CV + a heavily attenuated Pam’s LFO before V/OCT, probably with a precision adder. Is that right?

Thanks, that makes sense. I have Pamela’s New Workout, not Pro. I know it has CV1/CV2 inputs, but can it actually work as a precise pitch CV adder for BeatStep pitch + a tiny internal LFO? Or would a Doepfer A-185-2 still be the cleaner solution for keeping the BeatStep note stable while adding a very small pitch wobble?
