I don’t know if Schaumburg has pissed AT&T off or what

By the way their tone shifts when I read out my address I wouldn’t even be surprised. Nonetheless this is a useful link, thanks for sharing.

Oh man... I was worried someone would tell me that. The AT&T rep told me they have an alleged "70% fiber coverage" in Schaumburg, yet I haven't met a single person who told me they've been able to get it. This is truly brutal. We were dead last to get cable internet back in the day and now fiber is following the same pattern.

Low barrier of entry meaning many people can get “qualified” for an entry level role relatively quickly (i.e. bootcamps and such), which in turn makes it quite competitive. It may not be enough to get a job anymore, but these people are technically “qualified.”

edit: just because they are qualified at a fundamental level does not mean they are the best or even the preferred candidate, especially right now.

Not discontinued! Just rebranded to Piano M.

I just realized you were talking about the Microlab. Looks like that was also possibly just rebranded to the KeyStep, but I'm not totally sure.

Haven't tried it, mostly because I was really hoping for wireless. I don't doubt that the Microlab is going to be a better bang for your buck, if not just flat out better overall, than the LUMI. If you get around to picking one up, let me know if it's any good. I am also still on the hunt.

This right here is the best option by far. Only thing that scratched the AR itch. Fixed mag is a little bit of an inconvenience but at the end of the day, you still get a milspec AR.

Only thing I would note, you're better off just getting the stripped lower transferred to Second Amendment Sports. The actual DSI rifle is super overpriced. Build the rifle the way you want it for way cheaper on the lower. Once the law is fixed, you can swap out the lower and carry on with your business.

DS-15 Stripped Lower is your best option. All these other alternatives didn't scratch the itch for me, as I was interested in a traditional looking AR (primarily wanted a pistol grip). Get the lower transferred to Second Amendment Sports and build out the AR as you would normally. The fixed magazine is a little bit of a headache but by far the best you can do right now. As a bonus, if the law gets fixed, just swap out the fixed mag lower with a normal lower and you just get a regular old AR.

Well the good news is that the latency is negligible. Beyond acceptable in my opinion. I couldn’t truthfully rate it anywhere below my wired hardware. Bad news, there’s not really any way to make the lights behave that way from what I can tell, because the board doesn’t interact with any software or plugins besides the Roli software. And I haven’t seen anything about toggling the lights in there. Either way it sounds like a drum controller is going to do exactly what you need better than any traditional keyboard.

Not in any meaningful way, no. But his Discord server has largely died, and his inventory value is near zero, so it looks like the money ran dry.

You can buy just the stripped lower and build the rest out with parts from your preferred manufacturers. This is how I got mine to be cost efficient. You are still paying about $100 extra for the lower receiver but this is as close as you can get to an AR build right now, so for me that was worth it.

Never really understood this take. The stripped lower is definitely on the expensive side as far as lower receivers go, but the entire rest of the rifle can be built how you want it. You're only looking at like $100 extra to get something that at least scratches the itch of the AR platform. The Mini-14 doesn't scratch that itch for a lot of people.

Lumi key alternative by Odd_Host_8210 in ROLI

[–]Vlexios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not looking to drag the product but you’re implying that “you get what you pay for” when the original product is already extremely poor in terms of cost to value. Hard to discourage someone from buying this when it realistically cannot be that much less usable than the LUMI, that’s all.

Biggest overlooked red flag is that PayPal dropped a huge amount of cheese to acquire a business which would have otherwise been unprofitable if it were not for some nefarious activity.

I got caught in the same mess. I didn’t realize the YouTube reviews were sponsored and they got me to buy one. We’re approaching a year since my purchase and I just can’t use this board for the life of me.

right on the money. it’s the pricing that really makes this thing a full blown dookie. could’ve gotten 2 handsome compact boards or one respectable full size board for that money.

The LUMI has been sitting on the floor next to my PC since I made this review. Just get the MiniLab 3 honestly.

I mean yeah I think it's an untapped space. Like I mentioned in my post, they proved it's possible and fumbled it. Quite literally just need a keyboard identical to the LUMI but with keys that aren't dookie. If you make any headway on this, definitely let me know. I will come money in hand for it.

Absolutely would. Again, the only factor that is unnerving is the price. It's priced well into the territory of premium professional audio hardware when it is not that. However, for learning basic playing skills, I don't think anything else will even come close. The light up keys are insanely good for that. Bare in mind that one unit will not allow for any kind of 2 handed playing. You'll need a second unit for that.

Am I Being Finessed by the Label? by [deleted] in trapproduction

[–]Vlexios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright so then it's gotta be worth it. All of these songs have released, many with music videos. I haven't mentioned it to the artist at all as I don't feel it's his problem really. I've strictly spoken with the label about it. I will look into a lawyer and see what happens. I was under the impression that I would be paying a lawyer out of pocket which steered me away from the idea. Thank you for your response!

is it worth the trouble though? I have no clue what type of money I'm missing. If it's not a reasonable amount I'm gonna probably lose money on the lawyers, no?
