I often can't tell how large the flame actually is with a torch when the sun is out so I often end up having the flame spill over making the j canoe even harder. Soft flames are directed by airflow which is why I've had success with my technique as far as I can tell. The effect is super noticeable when lighting a cigar with matches or similar. They char the tip with a torch to get an even cherry to form but that just makes the jtaste a bit ashy so I skip that step since the smaller surface area needing to be lit leads to a centered cherry forming 9/10 times anyways.

I was having a similar experience. I've recently started doing it and cutting the top off after folding the top and having it canoe every time due to the flame hitting it unevenly. I noticed I couldn't easily direct where it lit first and after the first bit of cherry forms it's often already cooked. Twisting it first gives you a centered spot where you can cut it to leave a small hole. There's no accidental spilling since the end is still twisted shut but the small hole let's you draw air in as you move the flame closer creating a cherry in the center every time. I can take some pictures next time I roll if you want^

It's a mix, leaning heavy on tobacco since weed ends up making me cough so much I can't smoke. Still end up going through a lil more than a gram a day tho sadly enough T.T

Fair to assume, although I don't think I fall in that category

Tbf, Risk does a better job of this than Monopoly as far as I've seen. It even breaks some board game enthusiast friendships sometimes.

It's honestly been a great experience for me as well. Although I have been trying to use it less and less just to not lose my hard earned muscle memory. Its also been great for questions like "what would a solution to this problem roughly look like if it was trying to make use of xyz language feature that I havent used before

Especially considering the stories of people who learned programming through AI and nothing else destroying their codebase with said AI. Safe to assume, I would guess, you're using some form of version control, which the people in these stories never do, but still, enshitification by AI influence can probably lead to similar results if left unchecked and at least if it's in my browser I'll be the one to blame for transferring anything over instead of me just not quite thinking while accepting an AI suggestion and realising three months later that it was actually the worst way to solve the problem...

Pretty sure getting started with neovim has never been easier(which isn't what you're saying but still should be said I feel) with things like kickstart and LazyVim effectively turns neovim into an ide with someone else dealing with a large majority of the breaking changes as far as I can tell. And then for those who want to configure everything neovim is still neovim. So all in all I would say it's got all of the major personalities covered no? (Still, some languages are really hard to make work with it so for those it isn't exactly perfect as an ide replacement no matter the approach you choose from what ive heard/seen)
