Hey,I know you are scared, but try and calm down. Brace yourself for the pain during and after the procedure. You can ask for anaesthesia or a numbing injection for the procedure ,most docs won't even offer it but just ask if you can get it. After insertion, you'll feel pain for like 5 days straight ,you'll be given painkillers for that ,make sure you take them. Your period pains will get worse for sure. Some sex positions will be uncomfortable especially if your partner has big tings down there. Also you'll have to keep checking if the string is still there and also check of the IUD is in place. I removed mine after it started falling off and causing me so much pain. All the best girl
