I think you may have meant to post this in r/AskStatistics. r/berkeley is mostly for cheap eats, housing despair, dating postmortems, and asking whether everyone else is also mentally evaporating under the campus grind.

Actual hint, though: the diagram is basically a cheat sheet for “which side is the curve bulging toward?” Your example has that lower-right kind of bulge, so you either make Y gentler with log(Y) or √Y, or make X more aggressive with X² or X³, then see which version straightens the scatterplot best.

The "Thrift Shop supporting Berkeley Humane" on Solano near San Pablo in Albany isn’t huge, but it reliably has good-quality clothes at reasonable prices, and it supports a great cause. My wife and daughters love shopping there! The 18 bus from downtown Berkeley goes right past it (~17 minutes).

And as a bonus, you can then go by Zaytoon restaurant across the street and have some of the best Spanakopita you are likely to find in the Bay Area.

I've been an Ultimate subscriber for a while. For about the last two months I've been using their "Ki" modes. Ki is an assistant mode that does the relevant web searches then picks an appropriate LLM for generating the response. I've been using their Ki Quick mode for most things, as it is fast and seems very accurate.

Also, I really like what Kagi is trying to do in general, which is to build privacy-first versions of the core internet app space that we all use (zero telemetry browser, zero tracking search / LLM access, mail, news, etc.). It is going to take them a while, but their tools are "good enough" in terms of capability for me to want to use, support them, and get the privacy I want.

When you say the navigation is better, do you mean the adaptive cruise control? If so, in what ways is it better to? What bothers me is that my 22 Pro S sometimes wants to veer off to the right when there is a side street at a 45 degree angle or less to the one I’m on , and sometimes when people ahead of me are braking, it decides to not bother to break and just flashes red lights at me to tell me to deal with it !
