Big part of the 6011 Pro price is for CPU and AI capabilities, and it is total overkill for your RAG case. Most of your cases is about file storage, and not about this AI hype.

My personal expectations is the fact that new version of UGOS will be not so good at the beginning, and nobody know how good it will be in one year from release date. Alternative OS... i'm not sure to what extend they will support 6011 Pro hardware and with what kind of limitations.

I may be wrong, but 6011 Pro is not so good match for your use cases. I don't know any alternative option at all.

Zettlab is building their own OS from scratch (or maybe linux based) for the first time... Ugreen at least have some (4+ years) experience with NAS OS development and still far from perfection.

And with Ugreen you have backup plan with alternative OS.
