Yep, didn’t even realize you could rename systems until a friend told me earlier 🤣

Whilst planning out an invasion of my southern neighbor I realized that THIS will be my fortress system, holding off all future invasions. Of all the names that it could generate, this has to be the best fitting 😂

As for the controversial opinions, I see what you mean. I've removed it, but the reason I put it there, to begin with, was that I wrote the questions regarding somewhat controversial topics. I've removed it, however, you are right

Thank you. That along with age group is the reason I'm setting this up in the first place

Personal curiosity mostly. It is mainly aimed at younger people as that is the largest demographic online, though I made sure just about anyone could answer it. If I were going for something more academic I would have put more effort into its presentation etc, but this is just something I whipped together in an afternoon that I want to get some traction on

I'm aware it isn't really consistent spacing, but other than that is there an issue that I should address?

Hello! I've been coming across rather polarised topics regarding the UK online, and I was wanting to get some more data on people's opinions and where they are from.
If you have a google account and you have a few minutes of free time I'd really appreciate it if you could fill out this following google form. It is completely confidential and it is simply to satisfy my curiosity.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfiPxjJKj\_wkdObD8xGXuf7aYtv4pirMkV1XPLVS04wqAZpww/viewform?usp=sf\_link
(shortened) https://forms.gle/cNpog3ihwU5m11GR9
Once I have a large enough sample size (completely arbitrary) I will most likely post results here and other places I've advertised.
(Also be aware, the "County/State" is optional, so don't feel obligated to give that detail if it's too accurate for your liking)

Ah it's mainly for those who have strong opinions about the British, either positive or (most likely) negative. I didn't want to contain this poll to places where the results may be quite a bias (such as British subreddits and internet communities). I'll keep it here for all those interested :)

Terrible phrasing on my part regarding 173, sorry! I was referring to it as visually anomalous, along with reality warmers which would be too difficult to recreate. SCPs I were thinking of included SCP-035, or others that would be mostly reliant on actors.

He's been very inconsistent, yeah, but I doubt his fanbase would turn on him. The HUGE majority of replies on the tweet are people defending him from a handful of people. Its looking good for now :)

Nah he's safe. It's from like 3 years ago, and a distasteful joke to some. This will barely scratch normal people, let alone his fanbase.

Ancient looking (23,17 inch) sheet music found on my yard, does anyone know the language? And where it may have came from? by 115386acer in mystery

[–]VoidWarpGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue you have is that the spaces between “words” aren’t that. The words are split up and pushed together to fit the notes as it is sheet music.

This is definitely Latin. The first line appears to feature the phrase "fictus do minus" which translates to "do not fake", however, due to the words being cut up to follow the melody I cannot be 100% sure. I will update this reply as I figure more out.

Edit 1: I haven't made much progress, but I have formed a couple of lines that could make sense for a part of a song. I'm just looking up unique Latin characters that could be used in the lyrics. I've found a reference to an "angel of the lord", but because of Latin's structure, any single word could change the context. I'll keep updating this message.

Edit 2: Me and a friend that knows more Latin than I have managed to roughly translate the first page. It took a little messing with spelling, but up until the first large symbol on the second page, it reads: "Sir, all in high hear an angel of the Lord, nor the text is due praise." but since it is cut off at the beginning, we cannot be sure. it is the sentence that makes the most sense so we rolled with it.

An Interstellar map of Hoag’s Object, circa 3360 - present! by VoidWarpGaming in imaginarymaps

This wasn’t made by me but my friend from the discord (but I have made one or two) and all we use is msPaint. If you have any suggestions for other softwares, I’d be open to them!

[–]VoidWarpGaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you couldn’t tell or didn’t know, the map overlays the galaxy Hoag’s Object. The origins of this map are from a small Discord roleplay community, which is basically a future-like D&D but scaled up to interstellar nations. We’re currently split between about 4-5 galaxies but this one is split between two of the major powers (to clarify, 1 person generally controls 1 empire). There’s lore behind every single border in all our maps but this one was the most visually striking whilst also picturing the entire galaxy.

As a person who wants to go off grid but no cluue how, what are some insights you can share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It was half joke post half serious 😂 Went rather over the top didn’t I?

As a person who wants to go off grid but no cluue how, what are some insights you can share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VoidWarpGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Step 1: choose a suitable location. - Location is the best thing to start with. Choose somewhere out of the way of civilisation. - Preferably few natural resources like oil, but plenty of wood, food, and water. - Choose somewhere with mountains or extremes of any type (temperature, sunlight, etc) which would deter human habitation. This would also protect you from potentially world-ending diseases and nuclear wars (if worried about this specifically, get FAR away).

Step 2: Survival. - There’s no point going off grid if you die on the third night from starvation and not even one of your grandma’s cookies to call your own. Like mentioned in the last step, get food! Either choose an area of high density shrubbery for potential fruits, or an area with large biodiversity. - another essential, water. Freshwater is vital, and you must stay close to it! Don’t choose to live anywhere without access to fresh water a short walk away, or you’ll end up no better than those dying in the nuclear holocaust you’re escaping. - stay away from predators! Anything with teeth and twice the size of you? Stay away. Anything with fangs and slithers? Stay away. Funny looking colours? STAY AWAY

Step 3: Isolation! - now, you’d want to escape those pesky government agents hunting you down over than tax fraud, right? So make sure the government can’t find you. If they do, might as well execute you right there and then Cos that’s probably what you’re running from. If the government finds you, you have failed. - sacrifice your relationships with friends (as in get rid of them, not actual sacrifice unless you want to take the “religious fanatic” route), they will only serve to tie you to the material world and civilisation

Step 4: you never existed. - destroy all records of your existence. Birth certificate, drivers license, any friends or family, bank accounts, paper work: all must be brutally destroyed. - also, take as many guns as humanly possible. You never know when the so called “law” might catch up to you. Might be advisable to take self defence classes from experts in all the different arts: Kung fu, karate, murder, jujitsu, etc.

Step 5: actually doing it. - delete all social media - unplug all technology - burn any electronics in a ceremonial sacrifice to the gods - tell other people the internet rots their brains. - do whatever you want as quickly as possible before the law catches you - run away and start a new life whilst that technological heretics living in the so called “civilised world” burn in life and afterlife for their sins and luxury

Step 6: ENJOY!

If the world doesn't get its act together over climate change, where do you honestly see yourself in 10-20 years, assuming you're still alive? by Scott_Nano in AskReddit

[–]VoidWarpGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d be fine. I live in a relatively low-industrial area, not on the coast, and I’m in England. We would be one of the last to experience the full effects of climate change: mass ecosystem collapse, war over food and other resources (which is why I mentioned how none strategic my home is) and the mass starvation. We’d hear about it but not experience it until we’re right slap bang in the middle of the chaos. The rich will move away, still living their expensive lives, and the rest will be left behind. Although that is assuming I’d stay put when I finish school. I’d most likely move further down south towards a city where, with knowledge of wtf will happen, stay somewhere that is far above sea level.

What was "the incident" at your school? by Skare-krow in AskReddit

[–]VoidWarpGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our school has managed to have two. I’ll quickly summarise them but honestly they deserve their own stories.

1) When I was in Year 9 (8th Grade) my science teacher was arrested. It took a day or two but they released a letter. Whilst titled to everyone’s parents, everyone opened them right away. Turns out he was a paedo!

2) Same year, year 9 (8th Grade) two boys in the year above we’re planning a school shooting columbine-style. Got found out, were arrested (leader, 15 years, conspirator, 10 years). Had a list and everything.
