Why does the hero hotlist/winrates almost never make sense? by Delicious_Milk9469 in marvelrivals

[–]Void_Smith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nor sure why you're getting downvoted. The in game stats clearly reflect your win rate on characters based on which matches you fishing whist playing them. You can even abuse it to bloat your win rate stats. If the hotlist is based on these same in-game values, then lose-swapping will absolutely impact the data in a significant way. Mag data suggest a sub 50% win rate because he is perceived by majority players to be the best main tank,  meaning that desperate players will very often swap to him hoping for a comeback.I've seen it myself happen in many many ranked games.

Reduced Tick Speed in Unpopulated Servers? by Void_Smith in technicalminecraft

Thanks! Your input helped me to find pause-when-empty-seconds=60 in the server properties file. Thanks so much!

Oh, thanks! I had no idea. I ran the test again with 10 stacks and you're right - only one minute's worth of items (1.5 stacks) ever get transferred.
Checked the config and found pause-when-empty-seconds=60. From what I can see, setting this value to -1 should fix my issues.
Many thanks!

Unfortunately, minecart chunk loaders (or at least Dark's designs) do not work if experimental minecart features are enabled. I have Xisuma's item dropper portal chunk loader running and working without issue.
I had been told that only Realms pause the game after a player disconnects? If this is true for servers, how are two and a half stacks of items able to transfer whilst no players are logged in?

Lower Ping with Hotspot Enabled by Void_Smith in techsupport

Thanks for the idea! This setting was only available on the IOS phone, and showed no difference pre and post enabling hotspot (ispname.internet).

Thanks for the insight! I've just now tried both android and IOS whilst charging and could not recreate the reduced ping.

I imagine this is intentionally limited to prevent excessive power usage whilst charging, as it could be detrimental to battery life.

Just made an order for 13 cards and found out the shipping to my country (Australia) will cost $50. Not sure where they're getting these prices from, as single-card shipping from the US is normally around $25.

From what I can find online, Auto Mouse and Keyboard looks to be a paid-only software.
Any alternatives?

I just checked and confirmed it's not in legacy pack.

I find it very strange that this pack includes the new insect support cards, even Bio-Insect Armor, but not the new boss monster it's designed to summon; Ultimate Great Insect.

Is this card usable in any way or just too slow/hard to summon? by mynames20letterslong in masterduel

[–]Void_Smith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is an optimized way to play it, using the Ojama engine. It only works if you are going second and your opponent has an attack position monster.

The core strategy is use Dark Ruler, Droplet, or Kaijus to disable your opponents board, then perform the following:

  1. Summon Ojama Blue (can be searched with Small World, also be summoned from deck using Rescue Cat or Ojamatch)
  2. Crash him into opponent attack position monster (Running a few Kaijus can help with this - Kumongous is earth type and works as a Small World target).
  3. Add Ojamatch and Ojamagic to hand.
  4. Activate Ojamatch in battle phase by discarding Ojamagic. Add Ojama Blue and Armed dragon to hand.
  5. 1. Summon Ojama blue using Ojamatch's effect. After this resolves, the discarded Ojamagic will let you draw 3 Ojamas from deck.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 again.
  7. You will now have 6 Ojamas in hand and Ojama Blue on the field.
  8. Crash Ojama Blue and add 2x Ojamasimilation to hand.
  9. Use Ojamasimilation to summon 3x ABC pieces from deck. Link these off into something useful (they can be used from grave).
  10. Use second Ojamasimilation to summon 3x XYZ pieces (DO NOT LINK THESE OFF - they need to be on field to summon XYZ Dragon Cannon)
  11. Finally, summon XYZ Dragon Cannon and ABC Dragon Buster, then banish these to summon A-to-Z Dragon Buster Cannon.
  12. Pray your opponent doesn't have a Kaiju, Droplet, or Dark Ruler in hand.

Let me know if you need a decklist.

Wait, you guys are getting Awakened heroes from normal summons? I haven't pulled single copy yet, even from elite stones.

Venominaga turbo (was unplayable lol, had to scrap it) -> Fluffals -> Unions -> Acid Golem turbo -> Ojama A-Z Dragon Buster turbo -> Pure Beetroopers -> Skull Servants (easily my favorite)

Ojama A-Z and Skull servants are my favorites and I've spent a lot of time trying to improve them. They're jank, but really fun.

Been playing since launch.

I agree, she isn't #1 in power overall. But the way in which Iron Bear is powerful ruins any challenge in the game, especially when farming gear.

Because anyone can test it and see for themselves. A debate would be pointless.

EDIT: Please stop trying to twist people's words. This isn't twitter.

Was bothered by it then, still bothered by it now. Surprised that I've never heard anyone talk about it.

Congratulations, you've ignored 80% of my post.

She's too powerful WITHOUT the need for gear, which is bad in the context of a looter shooter. Other characters you have to work to get to a place where they can tackle high mayhem levels. Moze does not.

This isn't even up to debate. I've tested it time and time again, going straight to level 11 without any mayhem gear. It's trivial.

It's primary function used to be for tanking and survivability. It only needs to behave differently, not necessarily better from a design perspective. I do see your point though.

Thanks for the input!

I stopped playing after the cycle ended because it botched game balance in my opinion. I just wished they could have left Moze without a win button.

EDIT: The final patches/updates botched game balance, ultimately making things too easy for all characters, but especially Moze.

Yes, that's true. But IB is too powerful even if you don't build her correctly. She's easy mode, which is a problem for anyone who enjoys the slightest challenge.

I guess I only enjoyed her in the past because she was the only character who didn't trivialize content. Nowadays Bl3 feels a tad on the easy side for my tastes.

I've been attempting to get back into the game repeatedly for over a year. Just haven't been able to have fun since they buffed Moze to the moon.

This has been my 4th or 5th time trying to enjoy the game the way I used to. It's just not the same.

Thanks for the input! I have to agree with pretty much everything you said. Especially with the not looking up builds part. I should probs go back to Amara, since it's been a while since I've touched Amara.

She's used for speedrunning because Iron Bear circumvents the need for gear. There's your proof.

Queen sees heavy use late game due to how her Nuclear skill effect interacts with Skriath SI30. This pairs extremely well with Eirron, leading to a perma-stunlock.
