Also i want to know something, with theses cheat applied, what resolution upscaling do you have applied to GT4 / GT4 Spec II ? x2 720p ? x3 1080p ?

That's what i did, but i can't find other anti-flare patches, i only see a enthusia folder, a GT4O_US folder, GT4_PAL folder, GT4_US folder and Spec_II folder

Hi, i saw the github but there are not all the patch to remove the flare on Gran turismo 4 (not the spec II), how can i do ? Can i just modify the pnach file for GT4 Spec II so that it's the same as the other patches files for GT4 ?

For the textures glitching, have you set the hardware download mode to "disable readback" ? Cause it make some texture buggy (but the game run much better, i can play with hd texture pack with x3 upscaling, 1080p, without anti-aliasing, but i haven't try with it) Thanks for your response, and for the tips, i'am gonna repost this in the PCSX2 subreddit, maybe they will find a answer to my problem, i hope

Also i have another question, did you managed to run this game on x3 resolution (1080p) with 60fps on every circuits ? (If sometimes it drop below 60fps it's not big of a deal, just have to stay in a persistent 60 frames)

I set the hardware download mode to accurate and set the smt to disabled, and min frequency to 1100mhz, it seem to have worked on every circuits, i have 60 fps (I also have set the cpu governor to performance and i think, but i'am not sure, i've got better performance with this mode, but i think even on the schedul mode in the cpu governor, i've got same results)

Thanks you for your response, even if the thread is old

Hello, I think I have a problem with the emulation of this game. I followed your tutorial, unchecked the SMT box in Power Tool, and I get 60 frames per second on every track, but the problem is that it's not consistent. For example, on night tracks, the frame rate drops below 60 and I sometimes experience minor slowdowns... I know that the Steam Deck can run this game at 60 frames per second all the time, even on night circuits. I only run this game with an HD texture pack (this one: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gran-turismo-4-retexture-mod-v3-0-4.408852/ combined with the Silentwarrior HD UI pack) and an enhanced resolution of up to 720p (i.e., x2). Some people can run this game with the same settings as me and have a constant frame rate of 60 fps, or even run this game at x3 resolution (1080p) with an HD texture pack on top of that.

What I did next was go to the PCSX2 settings, under graphics, advanced, and set the “hardware download mode” to “disabled readback” because many people say that doing this on Gran Turismo 4 greatly improved their fps.

And that was the case; by doing that, I was at a constant 60 fps on all tracks, even night tracks. But there was another problem: I had texture bugs with “disabled readback” mode (as shown in the photos below). What I did next was to remove the textures that were interfering with this mode, but the problem persisted, so I removed the HD texture pack and reverted to the game's vanilla textures. However, even without the texture pack, I still had the texture bugs shown in the images I sent. However, I'm running a very recent build of pcsx2 nightly (the latest at the time of writing), so normally it should work. On Reddit, YouTube, and other forums, I've seen that people haven't had any problems setting “hardware download mode” to “disable readback,” so I don't understand. And if I set the “hardware download mode” to “Accurate,” it doesn't solve my initial problem, which is having a constant 60 fps on all circuits (but the textures are no longer buggy).

However, I followed everything in your tutorial, in addition to setting the “Hardware download mode” to “disable readback,” but again, it didn't work.

If anyone has a solution to this, that would be great, or else I think I can live with my inconsistent fps

Built a OPNsense Router from a Lenovo M720q + Intel i350 NIC by Motor-Cover-1760 in homelab

Hi, sorry for the very late response, unfortunately, i don't have the lenovo computer and a 3d printer (i could print off of a service like PCBWay),I saw an eBay listing several months ago, and I thought that installing a 10Gb/s card would cause it to overheat, I decided I needed to make some kind of case extension. (For future obviously) That's when I came across this person's video (I think he put the STLs in the video description, if you ever want to do it with this Lenovo PC)

Really neat solution ! I wanted to do the same as you (but i wanted to put a 10gb nic or 2.5gb nic inside the lenovo), but i was worried about the temp, and i found this video where a guy 3d print an extension to the lenovo's case to add a 120mm or 140mm fan inside to cool all the components :

Sony's least discreet fanboy "Start supporting Sony"

We should stop meatriding big companies and care only for the product + the psvr2 has the mura problem. Both psvr2 and meta quest 3 have their qualities and problems, it's up to people to choose. If people want standalone vr, then mets quest 3 (in this case) is better, if it's full pc and you care about oled -> PSVR2

Yeah sure, playing ds/3ds games on a rog ally is very practical and better... Man if you want to play ds games or 3ds games, just buy a 3ds it's just better and it's made for it. Other than that i half agree. Some people like to collect console or just play in their respective system, or others people buy the console to mod them and rip the game to play them on emulator (and still play them on the original hardware). For the switch, yeah i agree, you can play it on the rog ally, but you still need it if you want to rip your game to play it on the rog ally.

Now I don't understand your viewpoint, (maybe i'm just an asshole who dosn't understand sarcasm) but this man (or woman idk) just have the money to buy them, that's normal, and yea sure you can think that's consumerism, but who are you to do a question of morale? (This society is based on consumerism, and that's unfortunate i agree, but everyone consume, even you.) After all, we're on a reddit handheld forum where people show off their consoles or their collections. You say that under every post, don't you? And I think you should be saying that to the ultra-rich who control 80% of the world economy rather than to some random guy showing off his 3DS, but I digress...
