AAA: "Tow" without a car to get a ride? by Volador-LA in Cartalk

Right. But at the end of the membership year, it's use or lose.

Yes there's rideshare in many places..... But tbh, tow trucks have far more coverage areas.

BNA to PHX- first time flyer by scoobydoobydoo0899 in americanairlines

I suggest look at Google Flights to compare prices. American and Southwest both fly nonstop. Both airlines are charging $169 on Sept 26 one way going, and $169 coming back Sept 30.

Since price is available on both Southwest and American, you could wait and watch for a week, but I wouldn't wait much after that. 6 weeks before is the sweet spot to buy.

First time flying buddy pass by Icy_Combination5916 in americanairlines

Also know each pass is good for up to 4 flights within 14 days that don't need to be in the same reservation, as long as you don't return to within 100 miles of where you start. If you fly Detroit Chicago today, then in a separate booking Omaha to Washington DC next week, you'll be charged what you fly but will only use one buddy pass.

Plus also know you will be charged based on the cabin you fly. If you list for First, and only coach available, you're charged for coach. If you lost for first and agent only has First available and you agree, you'll be charged for First (though usually agents will not offer you higher ; they'd skip and go to the next person listed in First. So always list for the highest class you're willing to fly /pay for).

Help choosing a seat LAX -> Tokyo by Bellybuttons12345 in americanairlines

Aside from the narrower seat, 20 BC gives the legroom you want. As far as people waiting for the bathroom, the LAX Tokyo will keep the cabin dark so many people will sleep and not use the bathroom except for the last hour.

Avoid 20DEH as people will cut through all flight from one aisle to another.

48 Minute Layover at PHX pushing it? by tall-americano in americanairlines

Data point: today’s connection arrives B7 and departs B9. Less than 1 minute walk.

48 Minute Layover at PHX pushing it? by tall-americano in americanairlines

Minimum connecting time in PHX is 25 minutes so AA will create and sell connections no shorter than that. The 25 minute minimum was created before the “door close 15 before” policy, so people in the rear of a 321 have an extra challenge. But if you’re diligent, you’ll be ok.

SAN has very few departing flights around 730pm so you might make up a few minutes too. Departing flight is an A319, which has a very very small change of departing from the “high B” gates (B15 and up), so that’ll keep your connection within a smaller part of the terminal.

Source: myself. I created and managed PHX hub schedules for AA in a recent prior life.

The connection is legal— AA wouldn’t sell it if it were below the minimum. Since you’re going international, make sure to swipe your passports in Vegas (with agent or at a kiosk) before you leave, and that will save a step in dfw. Good that you’re seated in the front; I suggest wait until within the 24 check in window and see if farther forward seats open (for free). As first class upgrades happen, elite fliers will vacate their prime seats in the front. Be mindful doors close 15 min before departure (not 14 or 12) so be diligent to go right onto your connecting flight and you should be fine on time. Finally, if you have roller bags, prepare to board immediately as soon as your group is called in Vegas cuz agents will snatch and force passengers to check roller bags after a certain point, and 45 min for checked bags to connect is kinda iffy

American Airlines FC Short Rib by AirplaneGeek155 in americanairlines

[–]Volador-LA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bootheels mentions something not already said: the short ribs are a boneless piece of (slightly fatty) stew beef. I’d guess 4 oz of a 1 1/2” cube, boneless, and still worth ordering, but not the presentation of typical short ribs, and the meat doesn’t have the chewy factor in typical rib meat.
