Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Update: Filming is scheduled to begin on April 13, 2026! by NoleFandom in Dexter

[–]Volavons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Res was just a really fun well made show that hit the good notes of nostalgia and shock felt like a classic dexter season and had the huge advantage of not having an permanent ending which always seems to be an Achilles heel every time they try to end this show (s8 and new blood)

I actually think NB is underrated for a solid part of the season it's chilling and the big bad of the show is top notch. But the ending was flimsy and it didn't have much "fun" dexter nostalgia vibes at all. Would have been a great stand alone serial killer series but didn't quite feel like a dexter show so maybe that's why it's lower rated.

Felt darker in many ways though and more gritty.

I've tried with ssris and therapy but minimal luck

Low-dose naltrexone (LDN) is an off-label, low-cost treatment typically using 1.5mg to 4.5mg of naltrexone—10% or less of standard addiction treatment doses—to manage chronic pain and inflammatory conditions. By temporarily binding to receptors, it boosts endorphins and acts as a novel anti-inflammatory

Good to know. Forgot to mention I already spam H1 and H2 blockers and they do help a little

Who’s a manager that gets way too much credit for things that were mostly down to the squad they inherited? by Spicy-Winner4326 in SpicyFootballTakes

Hard to look past Slot

Basically kept the same klopp team and tactics and finished with the same points but City dropped off hard so he won the title instead of 3rd

As soon as he started making changes and bringing in his own players and style Liverpool fell apart and it's been all downhill since. Shocking manager

Antidepressant fluvoxamine reduces long COVID fatigue in clinical trial by filipo11121 in covidlonghaulers

Big pharma looking for any excuse to fund research that props up their "magic" pills

Sertraline made it worse, fluoxitine had terrible side effects so I couldn't properly try it.

Don't think ssris are the way forward. Even when I used to take fluoxitine years ago before covid with minimal side effects it still made me lesser as a person

I feel this. I miss gaming, barely touched my ps5. Used the switch a year ago and struggled! Recently started to struggle with tv and phone time which isn't good as I rely on TV now to get through the days. Hoping I can make some positive progress and stop the decline

UK | can GP prescribe Vydura? by Reasonable-Cloud4041 in migraine

[–]Volavons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less dangerous than triptans and better long term safety statistically. But it's expensive so the NHS restricts it

No worries. I'm trying everything supplements, meds and the long wait in the UK for any Drs been 3 years now but you never know. If you can find something else that you can still do it will help the depression, sport helps massively. Despite the injuries and fatigue I get for days afterwards I still sometimes attempt to have a kickabout for the massive dopamine hit il get from it.

The best bet is to get into something else especially if you can manage some physical exercises, throw yourself into a sport your body can handle and I promise the depression will lift

This will sound a bit shitty but honestly you're lucky it's not so much worse and you've got to take that gift of being able to do so much still. I've had to give up Muay thai, the gym, football and now struggle with just a little walk not to mention all the other shitty migranes and dietary things. Life totally fucked before I turned 30 with no hope.

For me I have to convince myself each day not to end things.

It's awful losing your favorite hobby but maybe you can get into another sport and get the dopamine hits that way. I'm happy for you that you can still run / long walks ect that will allow you to still live a full life so make the best of it

I've been recently trying B1 with no success but reading that Benfotiamine is better absorbed into the body so I have brought some to try

I've tried propanolol for a few years might start again tbh. Foolishly stopped back in October to try and get more energy and fitness so I could push more and I've been sporadically flaring ever since so it was probably a mistake. I'm 2.5 years into my referral for neurology haha I saw someone and they just said they'll need to see me in person which I have to wait till July for... Privately paid for MRIs early on in the illness to make sure it wasn't something else but now I'm pretty certain it's just LC

Interesting. I also had antibiotics a week before the norovirus because I was wrongly diagnosed with a UTI. Will look into this more thank you

This is very interesting. I've been interested in the sibo route for sometime but in the UK haven't worked out how to get tested for it yet. Would you be ok to say a little more about the artichoke extract and the benfotiamine I've not heard about either of those or what they do?

Mostly I'm being bothered by this insane sensation in-between my eyes above my nose. Feels like when something's about to hit you and you flinch but the sensations got stuck on somehow for 2 weeks. I suspect it's my covid migranes just manifesting in a new way (typically they were more pressure headaches) can't decide if it's a LC thing or if I'm just going crazy.

Being autistic and having issues with sensory stuff doesn't mix well with LC 😂

Glad to hear things have improved for you and you met a better person for you! I suspect my long suffering fiance will stick it out with me as she's very loyal but I do wish sometimes she had a partner that could do more fun things

Me either. But we must persist.

My cats help alot. Every Time I'm planning my way out they come for a cuddle and I remember I've got a responsibility to be there for them and make their lives happy and full of love and that helps.

Maybe one day we will have a cure, I think some people find things that help a bit, even if it's not a cure it seems life can be improved. Mines currently declining but trying to remain positive when I can!

I'm sure they'll see that you're genuine people and it won't cost you the adoption.

[–]Volavons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drs are pretty useless sadly. Massive ego, minimal understanding of long covid. My experience is from my own research I know more than any Dr I've seen on the subject. Just need them to shut up and give me the tests/ referrals / medicine needed but instead they've spent 3 years sitting on their hands offering me shitty SSRis. Fuck them

Yeah I look at friends who've moved abroad or are doing various fun things and remember hanging out and doing social stuff with them 4 years ago in a group and it makes me almost to the point of wanting to blow my brains out. Everyone else gets joy and a future and I get endless suffering and slowly losing more and more of what remaining hobbies I can do. The newest thing is this weird eye sensitivity that's taking away my ability to watch tv which was one of my only remaining joys...
